Student Organizations Newsletter N E W S L E T T E R La Salle University November 9nd, 2017 Volume 2, Issue #4 General Announcements The Masque's Performance of Company This weekend, the Masque will begin their performances of the musical Company. Come out and support all of their hard work! There will be raffles at each performance! Home Opening Basketball Game Activities: 8-10 a.m. Sig Phive K Kick off the day by walking or running in the Sig Phive K benefitting La Salle Academy and the Charles Torpey Endowment at Wetzel Track at McCarthy Stadium. This event is sponsored by Sigma Phi Lambda and student entrance fee is $10. Noon-2:30 p.m. Pre-Game party on the Hansen Quad Live Music The band Burnt Sienna will rock the quad and perform dance, rock, hip hop, pop and R&B favorites. Dining Options Fuel up before the game by eating at Blue & Gold. Take out containers will be available so you can get your lunch and enjoy the party on the Quad. Another dining option is to enjoy the food from one of the four food trucks that will be on the Hansen Quad from noon- 2:30 p.m: Oink and Moo BBQ, Nick's Roast Beef (BBQ), Gigi and Big R (soul food) and Humpty Dumplings. For students under the age of 21 who want to eat at the food trucks, you can use cash or debit/credit card to pay for individual items at the food truck of your choice. For students that are 21 and over, you are invited to participate in the food trucks and beer garden in the Union Ballroom. Tickets are $15 and includes a meal voucher for one of the food trucks or taco bar in the Ballroom, and one complimentary beer or wine. Counseling Center Walk-in Hours On Mondays, the Counseling Center walk-in hours are now from 12PM-1PM. Guided Mindfulness Meditation Meditation will now be held Thursdays from 12:30-1:30 in the new Interfaith Room in College Hall. International Education Week This will be sponsored by the Campus Activities Center, La Salle Dining, The Cross Cultural Association, and the Office of the Provost. Join Junior Achievement of Southeastern Pennsylvania and the School District of Philadelphia as we partner with La Salle University for JA Step to Success. We will be bringing 3rd graders on campus on Wednesday, October 25th and Tuesday, December 5th. Sign up to Thanksgiving Food Drive help guide students around campus to gain a better understanding of student life. You will be provided with La Salle Dining will be sponsoring a food drive to a guide and scripted talking points to help facilitate support Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church's discussions.
