They attract domestic and international visitors, and generate media exposure for the city. In that sense, music festivals can be seen as the brand ambassadors of their host cities which represent novelty in the implementation of this concept. Brand ambassadors are usually persons, but for the purpose of this research, one of the biggest electronic, dance, and house music festivals in the world, the Ultra Europe is considered to be the brand ambassador of the city of Split, its host city. The research determines the nature and extent of social media exposure generated for Split by hosting the Ultra Europe music festival. The coverage of the festival on social media was content analyzed for any verbal and written mentions of Split and its associated images. Four different types of social media platforms were examined; Wikipedia, Facebook, Twitter and, YouTube. The research shows that the Ultra Europe is very important ambassador of Split branding, and that Split and its associated images has been mentioned and displayed more than 800 times. En effet, je tiens à rendre hommage à Kaosspat, instigateur de la première heure de ce projet fou que représente Teckyo et qui nous a quitté en Décembre dernier. Pour la première fois depuis presque 20 ans, je ne peux compter sur son aide précieuse. Je suis seule face à cette absence et me revient en mémoire sa bonne humeur, son soutien indéfectible, son humour ainsi que sa folie si particulière. Festival offers about 70 concerts at five stages in two nights on the beach. Our company was the main supplier. It was a 10th anniversary edition with incredible line-up. More than 25 000 people attended the Audioriver festival. From 6 to 9 of August Lucavsala island turned into the Island of Freedom. About 15 thousand people visited it during these days. Among them almost 6 thousand people came from Russia to Riga especially for this event.     CJing: Combining Live Coding and VJing for Live Visual Performance by Jack Voldemars Purvis A thesis submitted to the Victoria University of Wellington in fulfilment of the requirements for the degree of Master of Science in Computer Graphics. Victoria University of Wellington 2019 Abstract Live coding focuses on improvising content by coding in textual inter- faces, but this reliance on low level text editing impairs usability by not al- lowing for high level manipulation of content. VJing focuses on remixing existing content with graphical user interfaces and hardware controllers, but this focus on high level manipulation does not allow for fine-grained control where content can be improvised from scratch or manipulated at a low level. This thesis proposes the code jockey practice (CJing), a new hybrid practice that combines aspects of live coding and VJing practice. In CJing, a performer known as a code jockey (CJ) interacts with code, graphical user interfaces and hardware controllers to create or manipulate real-time visuals. CJing harnesses the strengths of live coding and VJing to enable flexible performances where content can be controlled at both low and high levels. Live coding provides fine-grained control where con- tent can be improvised from scratch or manipulated at a low level while VJing provides high level manipulation where content can be organised, remixed and interacted with. To illustrate CJing, this thesis contributes Visor, a new environment for live visual performance that embodies the practice. Visor's design is based on key ideas of CJing and a study of live coders and VJs in practice.
