EXPLORING SCIENCE The domain of science involves content, knowledge about how the world works and processes, and the use of scientific inquiry to build this understanding. In Ms. Debbie’s PK3 classroom setting, science is thoughtfully displayed inviting varied hands-on learning experiences. She provides an engaging science environment which fosters observation, analytical thinking, and conversations about their discoveries. Our Tu B’shevat curriculum includes the study of trees and how vital they are in our world. We celebrate the life and provisions of trees, as well as the beauty of God’s creation. We also enjoy singing and having birthday parties for trees at The One School.

Bar Mitzvah of Brayden Charney (February 13, 2021) With much love, excitement, and joy we announce the Bar Mitzvah of Brayden Michael Charney on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Temple Beth Am. Brayden is a 7th grade student at Meyer Preparatory Academy. He is a fun loving, kind, basketball-obsessed teenager who we are so proud to call our own. Brayden has worked incredibly hard to continue on with his Hebrew studies with diligence and meaningful intent. He stands in the footsteps of those who came before him and announced prior to his studies that he would like to honor their memory as he, too, becomes a Bar Mitzvah. We are full of gratitude that, even during these difficult times, we have so much to be thankful for and can still celebrate virtually together. We would like to thank Rabbi Alon Levkovitz, Cantorial Soloist Marcy Morris, Rabbi Brett Tancer, Temple Beth Am staff, and Meyer Preparatory Academy staff for all their many hours of guidance and support that goes into making this day possible. With love and gratitude, Jayme & Jon Charney

Bat Mitzvah of Luci Resnick (February 20, 2021) It is with a very full heart that we are proud to announce the Bat Mitzvah of Luci Resnick on February 20, 2021 at Temple Beth Am. Luci is in 7th grade at BAK Middle School of The Arts, where her creative spirit thrives. She is studying communications, which encompasses her love of writing and graphic design. When not focusing on schoolwork, Luci enjoys dangling from aerial silks, inventing art projects, and power-watching Netflix while Facetiming with friends. Her quiet determination shines through to all who know her, and you can always count on Luci for help and a great laugh. Luci has a profound respect for mankind and animals, and has empathy for all. She loves her cats, Little and Cassie, and has been begging for a fluffy dog, but for now excels in school and works diligently on all that she is involved in. We would like to thank Rabbi Alon Levkovitz, Rabbi Brett Tancer, and Cantorial Soloist Marcy Morris for preparing Luci for this special moment in her life. With so much joy and love, Jamie, Seth & Zac Resnick

Bat Mitzvah of Olivia Kahn (February 27, 2021) We beam with pride in announcing our daughter, Olivia Rose Kahn, will be called to the Torah as a Bat Mitzvah on February 27, 2021 at Temple Beth Am. Olivia is a 7th grade Communications major at BAK Middle School of the Arts, where she excels under the guidance of incredible teachers, has made lifelong friends, and proudly serves on the yearbook staff. Olivia has a competitive spirit and enjoys running in 5Ks and dancing with her team, The Elite Stars. She also enjoys baking for our family. Olivia wants everyone to be safe from COVID-19. For her mitzvah project, she is making supply bags to give to others who may not have ready access to needed items. We would like to thank everyone who has supported Olivia with her Jewish education, including Rabbis Alon Levkovitz and Brett Tancer, Cantorial Soloist Marcy Morris, and all of Olivia’s Religious School, Hebrew school, and Skype tutors. Allison & David Kahn
