ALA SOUTH WEST SUMMER ESTATE VISIT & SEMINAR ‘DEALING WITH A LANDED ESTATE’ 25 July 2019 – 5pm to 8.30pm Great Fulford Estate, Great Fulford, Dunsford, Exeter EX6 7AJ The ALA South West and Somerset & Dorset Regions are pleased to invite you to their Summer Estate Visit and Seminar to be held at the Great Fulford Estate, Great Fulford, Dunsford, Exeter on Thursday, 25 July 2019. The Great Fulford Estate has been in the Fulford family for over 800 years and is currently home to Francis Fulford and his family. Following a tour of the Estate, Jeremy Smith (Savills), Kate Bell (Evolution ABS) and Tom Biddick (Ashfords) will look at current Landlord and Tenant issues, Accountancy and Tax consequences of share farming and contract farming arrangements, and Succession planning. Speakers: Jeremy Smith, Associate Rural Surveyor, Savills Jeremy started his professional career at Smiths Gore as an APC graduate in 2012. Jeremy achieved Chartered status following the merger with Savills. As a graduate and now as a chartered surveyor Jeremy has specialised in estate management for private and institutional clients. He has particular professional experience in dealing with telecoms and landlord and tenant matters. Kate Bell, Director, Evolution ABS Ltd Kate joined Evolution ABS in March 2016 from another South West based firm where she was Senior Manager of their agricultural team. Kate was appointed a director in May 2018 and specialises in providing proactive business planning and advice to a range of rural entities in addition to general accountancy and tax advice. Tom Biddick, Partner, Ashfords LLP Tom is a Partner in the Trusts and Estates Team at Ashfords. Tom acts for a number of farming families and individuals advising on all aspects of private client work including Succession/Estate Planning, Wills, Powers of Attorney and Estate Administration. Tom has an agricultural background and has a particular specialism in Estate Planning for farmers and landed individuals dealing with Agricultural Property Relief and Business Property Relief queries.
