Athletes are competing for the right to represent America, wearing the red, white and blue with pride! 2013 is also USA Gymnastics’ 50th anniversary, and we are celebrating 50 Years of Champions while we are in Hartford. Among the more exciting moments on the field of play will be athlete performances from members of the 2012 Olympic Team including two of the Fierce Five – Kyla Ross and McKayla Maroney. It’s also an exciting time for USA Gymnastics because the Road to Rio has already begun and new athletes are ready to make their mark. USA Gymnastics is pleased to offer a wide range of fan activities in conjunction with the exciting competition. From Morning Fitness to the Capital City’s Taste of the Championships to a museum-style exhibition commemorating USA Gymnastics’ 50th anniversary and five decades of champions, there’s plenty of fun. We’re also inducting two gold-medal winning women’s teams, the 2007 U.S. Women’s World Team and the 2012 U.S. Women’s Olympic Team, into the USA Gymnastics Hall of Fame, as well as honoring all 13 of gymnastics’ 2012 Olympians.
