    craft Horn and Downes briefl y joined legendary prog- rock band Yes, before Trevor quit to pursue his career as a producer. Dollar and ABC won him chart success, with ABC’s The Lexicon Of Love giving the producer his fi rst UK No.1 album. He produced Malcolm McLaren and introduced the hitherto-underground world of scratching and rapping to a wider audience, then went on to produce Yes’ biggest chart success ever with the classic Owner Of A Lonely Heart from the album 90125 — No.1 in the US Hot 100. Horn and his production team of arranger Anne Dudley, engineer Gary Langan and programmer JJ Jeczalik morphed into electronic group Art Of Noise, recording startlingly unusual-sounding songs like Beat Box and Close To The Edit. In 1984 Trevor pulled all these elements together when he produced the epic album Welcome To The Pleasuredome for Liverpudlian bad-boys Frankie Goes To Hollywood. When Trevor met his wife, Jill Sinclair, her brother John ran a studio called Sarm. Horn worked there for several years, the couple later bought the Island Records-owned Basing Street Studios complex and renamed it Sarm West. They started the ZTT imprint, to which many of his artists such as FGTH were signed, and the pair eventually owned the whole gamut of production process: four recording facilities, rehearsal and rental companies, a publisher (Perfect Songs), engineer and producer management and record label. A complete Horn discography would fi ll the pages of Resolution dedicated to this interview, but other artists Trevor has produced include Grace Jones, Propaganda, Pet Shop Boys, Band Aid, Cher, Godley and Creme, Paul McCartney, Tina Turner, Tom Jones, Rod Stewart, David Coverdale, Simple Minds, Spandau Ballet, Eros Ramazzotti, Mike Oldfi eld, Marc Almond, Charlotte Church, t.A.T.u, LeAnn Rimes, Lisa Stansfi eld, Belle & Sebastian and Seal.

Si tratta delle registrazioni live da cui, in parte, fu estratto il famoso album live Yessongs del 1973. E' stato edito in tre versioni: 1) quella monumentale di 14 CD, che cattura sette spettacoli completi registrati nel 1972 nel tour di Close to the Edge. 2) una versione edit di 2-CD 3) la versione in vinile di quest'ultima, costituita da 3 LP E' qui recensita l'ultima uscita discografica, essendo chi scrive appassionato di vinile. I suppose they thought I was just the build for it because I was long and skinny for my age (and still am) and in any case I didn't mind it much, to tell you the truth, because running had always been made much of in our family, especially running away from the police. I've always been a good runner, quick and with a big stride as well, the only trouble being that no matter how fast I run, and I did a very fair lick even though I do say so myself, it didn't stop me getting caught by the cops after that bakery job. You might think it a bit rare, having long-distance crosscountry runners in Borstal, thinking that the first thing a long-distance cross-country runner would do when they set him loose at them fields and woods would be to run as far away from the place as he could get on a bellyful of Borstal slumgullion--but you're wrong, and I'll tell you why. The first thing is that them bastards over us aren't as daft as they most of the time look, and for another thing I'm not so daft as I would look if I tried to make a break for it on my longdistance running, because to abscond and then get caught is nothing but a mug's game, and I'm not falling for it.

    Retriever, November 6, 1978 15 ~ ~@UIT©rnl~£!\[l ~@[MJ[MJ~~IJ========= Red tape cheating UMBC students Eighty-eight students were denied defernnents on their tuition and housing bills after there was still some delay in processing federal financial aid requests. That means they have been deregistered and are officially no longer stu­ dents at UMBC. What can they do now? They have attended classes for two months, all the time assuming they would receive financial aid. They've been thrown out of UMBC with bills ranging from $380 to nearly $1,200 for residence that they must pay. This doesn't even include all the other expenses they have had, such as books, gas, bus fares, parking registration, pens and paper. To top it off they have 90 days to pay their bills before the state central collection agency begins collecting. If these students had known they were ineligible- which isn't necessarily true -they could have spent the past two months earning enough to pay the spring semester tuition or to find an alternative source of income for this semester. Instead, they've spent the past two months toiling away. And for what? Nothing, apparently. They are to be taken off class lists and they can start packing. They can't pay their bills because of a snag in the federal bureaucracy. It just doesn't seem fair. Federal bureaucracy fouls things up, a "thinking" computer delays the procedures and the victims, UMBC students, must pay for it. The 88 students in this predicament should be allowed to continue attend- bureaucratic red tape.
