Boy will run at the Almeida Theatre from 5 April until 28 May 2016, with press night on 12 April 2016. Director Sacha Wares is joined by a formidable creative team, including two powerhouse contemporary designers, Miriam Buether for set design (Wild Swans, Sucker Punch, My Child, Generations), who worked with Sacha on Game at the Almeida in 2015, and Ultz for costume (Jerusalem, Hobson’s Choice, Fallout, Pied Pier), who will be collaborating with Miriam, on design, for the very first time. Best availability from late March 2019 • Over 20,000 tickets have been available at £25 or under during the run Sonia Friedman Productions and Fox Stage Productions have today announced the full casting for the world premiere of Ivo van Hove’s highly anticipated stage production of the 1950 Twentieth Century Fox film All About Eve as rehearsals commence. Jessie Mei Li will play the role of Claudia Casswell with Merric Boyd, Fejiro Emasiobi, Chanelle Modi, Stuart Nunn, Phillipa Peak and Michael Warburton joining the Ensemble. Performances run from 2nd February at the West End’s Noël Coward Theatre. Previously announced, Emmy Award-winning Gillian Anderson will return to the stage alongside Lily James to lead the cast. BAFTA Award-winner Monica Dolan will play the role of Karen alongside Ian Drysdale as Max Fabian, Tsion Habte as Phoebe, Julian Ovenden as Bill, Sheila Reid as Birdie, Rhashan Stone as Lloyd and Stanley Townsend as Addison DeWitt. Charles Hagerty, Grace Stone and Philip Voyzey will also appear as Ensemble cast. Ivo van Hove’s direction will be accompanied by set and lighting design from Jan Versweyveld, costume design by An D’Huys and music from double Mercury Prize- winner PJ Harvey, alongside Tom Gibbons’ sound design. -

PRODUCTION BIOGRAPHIES RICHARD EYRE (Director) Richard Eyre’s feature films include The Ploughman’s Lunch, Iris and Notes on a Scandal. His films for the BBC include “The Imitation Game,” “Country,” “Past Caring,” “The Insurance Man,” “Tumbledown,” “Suddenly Last Summer,” “King Lear” and “Henry IV Parts 1 and 2.” He was producer of “Play for Today” from 1978 to 1980 and a Governor of the BBC from 1995 to 2003. Tickets go on general sale from Monday 30th September with priority booking from Wednesday 25th September. In the heat of summer, Sonya and her Uncle Vanya (Toby Jones) while away their days on a crumbling estate deep in the countryside, visited occasionally only by the local doctor Astrov (Richard Armitage). However, when Sonya’s father suddenly returns with his beautiful new wife declaring that he intends to sell the house, the polite facades crumble and repressed feelings start to emerge with devastating consequences. -
