A Spectacular Selection of 12 bottles from the Andalusia Wine Cellar

Jamie and Kristin Biddle have been acquiring wines and building their cellar for more than 30 years. Today, the collection encompasses a wide array of wines primarily from Bordeaux, the Rhone Valley, California, Italy and, of course, Spain. These 12 wines were selected for their high quality (all rated 95 points or higher by Robert Parker), variety, and readiness to drink. Enjoy!

(Re)build the (River) Wall!

In the 1830s, Nicholas Biddle hired architect Thomas Ustick Walter to undertake an ambitious building program at Andalusia, which included designing the Graperies and Cottage, enlarging the Big House, and rebuilding the River Wall. In October 1836, records show Biddle paid $286 for delivery of stone for the river wall.

Over the years, storms, ice jams, and changing tides have deteriorated the wall. Even with emergency maintenance as needed, the wall suffered the loss of a large section near the Billiard Room last winter.
