Mike Oldfield: Tubular Bells 2009 Nota de Prensa Tubular Bells Edición: 9 de Junio 2009 Mike Oldfield es un artista sin igual. En los últimos 37 años ha producido música atemporal, genuina e inspiradora que ha cautivado a oyentes de todo el mundo.Los fans antiguos y nuevos pueden celebrar la obra de este gran autor con la edición especial de su álbum clásico, el multiplatino Tubular Bells, que se edita el 8 de Junio en Mercury Music Group/Universal Music. Es el primer clásico que se lanzará del catálogo de Oldfield transferido de Virgin a Mercury/Universal en el 2008. Han pasado 35 años desde que el tema que abría el álbum se utilizara en la película EL EXORCISTA, convirtiendo el disco en un fenómeno mundial. Esta nueva y excitante versión del rompedor álbum de 1973 no solo supone un cambio de formato en la presentación sino que el mismo Mike ha remasterizado los temas en su casa de Bahamas. Habrá 5 ediciones físicas del álbum, además de DOS digitales. Todas las versiones tendrán una nueva mezcla del álbum realizada en 2009. La EDICIÓN DE LUJO tiene una mezcla de sonido 5., mientras que la caja EDICIÓN DEFINITIVA, completada con un libreto de tapa dura de 60 páginas, con prólogo de Mike Oldfield, poster, púas y todo tipo de delicias Tubulares, contiene además una maqueta inédita con mezclas inacabadas de la época de su grabación. Habrá 500 unidades de esta magnífica edición limitada en www.mikeoldfield.com firmadas y numeradas. Para aquellos a los que les guste el estilo de la vieja escuela se editará una versión en vinilo que formará parte de la aclamada serie Back To Black. Habrá también una edición de doble CD del álbum con un disco extra con los mayores éxitos de Oldfield entre 1974 y 1983. Esta edición se publicitará ampliamente en TV. Par celebrar el lanzamiento el día 6 de Junio a las 6 pm (6.6.6 pm) tañerán campanas en todo el mundo. Sonarán campanas en Milán (MTV), Berlín (en Siegessaule, la localidad donde Mike llevó a cabo el legendario concierto del Milenio el día de Año Nuevo del 2000), Bruselas (Atomium), París (en el Centro George Pompidou ), Sydney (Opera House), Japón/Narita (en uno de sus tradicionales templos japoneses) y finalmente en Londres, donde las campanas sonarán en monumentos famosos. Having listened to ‘The Plan’ I'm not seeing much change for me in Phase 1 at least. I still can't see my grandchildren as they are too young to understand social distancing. Other than that I'm not tempted to go and queue for hours at a garden centre and I have enough places to walk near my house. Meeting up with one other person outside but maintaining social distancing doesn't appeal to me.

Mr. Dutot predicted at the time that the mail would be brought from Easton on four-horse coaches, which prediction he lived to see fulfilled; and then again foretold its delivery in a railway coach, which became an established fact in the year 1857, sixteen years after his death. On the 22nd of January, 1854, a Presbyterian Church was organized at the Delaware Water Gap, to be called "the Church of the Mountain." The Rev. Horatio S. Howell was the first pastor and was greatly beloved by his people. He built the Glenwood House for a hoys' boarding-school in 1854-55. William and Clayton McMichael, of Philadelphia; Judge John N. Stewart, of Trenton and Hon. John B. Storm, of Stroudsburg, were among the pupils at this "Classical School." The church edifice was commenced in July, 1853, and was dedicated on the 29th of August, 1854. The con- gregation are greatly indebted to Mrs. Caroline E. G. Peale, a niece of Stephen Girard, to Dr. John Marshall Paul, of Belvidere and Matthew Baldwin, of Philadelphia, for their liberal assistance in erecting the church and in the deep interest manifested by them in the spiritual welfare of the community. Mr. Howell continued as pastor until March, 1862, when he was chosen chaplain of the Nineteenth Regiment, Penn- sylvania Volunteers and was killed by a rebel soldier, while attending to the sick and wounded at the hospital in Gettys- burg, July 1st, 1863. The paper addresses the politics, religion, and society that informed Fornander's research and writing, then focuses more closely on his book, An Account ofthe Polynesian Race and international response to it. Fornander's tenacity in promoting his Western worldview and his efforts to advance his career infused his writings and, in the end, served to overshadow existing indigenous language and culture, hastening deterioration ofboth. Utilizing correspondence, early writing for newspapers, and other archival information, the paper demonstrates his attempts to attain authentic status for himselfand his work.
