Hello friends! Welcome to the first annual WTCA Conference Paris, and thank you for traveling from near and far to attend this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. At the WTCA, our goal has always been to make positive changes in women’s tennis by providing coaches with the educational tools to enhance the level of coaching in our sport. That being said, we could not be more excited to be bringing cutting- edge education to Europe from some of the sport’s most prolific coaches and athletes. We believe that forming a global community of like-minded and committed coaches is critical to making the necessary changes in women’s tennis, and your participation at our conference is invaluable to the creation of this interconnected community. In addition to earning a Masters of Physical Education and Masters of Science of Motricity, he brings high-level coaching experience, working with three players who were ranked in the ATP top 100. Additionally, he has experienced success in the WTA, working with WTA top-300 player Daniela Seguel. He joined the Justine Henin Academy in September 2013 as a head coach and works primarily with junior and professional tennis players. He has worked extensively with Justine to foster a positive environment for each and every member of the Justine Henin Academy in addition to his coaching experience. Lindsey Ayala: Received a Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from the University of South Florida in 2012 and a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in 2014. At the University of South Florida, Lindsey spent time providing health care coverage for USF Football, Basketball, and Tennis teams. Lindsey completed her Manual Therapy Certification through the University of St. Augustine and continues to further her sports medicine education through courses in dry needling, manual therapy, and prevention & rehabilitation. Lindsey is a member of the WTA SS&M team and travels as a Primary Health Care Provider. Sancha Bainton: Formerly a junior tennis player, Sancha has worked at Goldman Sachs as an Executive Director in Equity Sales since 2007, covering institutions and hedge funds as well as specializing in Pan European as well as global equities. Since January 2018, she has been a Board Member of England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB), to encourage participation and growth within the sport. Tim Bainton: The founder for Blue Chip Sports Management (BCSM) Tim is seen as a pioneer in the tennis industry for his accolades with building and sustaining success of various tennis clubs; his work has focused on professionalization of tennis teaching industry and creating successful algorithms to maximize each square foot of the court. When speaking, Tim focuses on the subjects of Tennis Entrepreneurship, Synergistic Relationships in the Tennis Profession, High Performance Parameters, and Creating, Sustaining, and Leveraging Partnerships in the Tennis industry. He played tennis collegiately works with junior players having coached with the USTA HPCE at Davis Cup and the US Open. Mike Barrel: Based in the UK, Mike has taught tennis for over 25 years working with players of all levels and is the Founder and CEO of evolve9. Mike has presented at numerous National and International conferences and has authored magazine articles and manuals. Mike’s programs include the GTN - Girls Tennis Network. He has worked on programs for the USTA, Tennis Australia, LTA (GB), Chinese Tennis Association and many other tennis nations including Holland, Norway, Estonia, Cyprus, and Hungary. Mike was the author of the ITF Tennis10s Manual and has been a major contributor to Under 10 programs around the World. He also works for the LTA as a Coach Education Master Tutor. Youlia Berberian Maleeva: Against all odds, Youlia miraculously coached all three of her daughters – Manuela, Magdalena, and Katerina – into the top 6 of the WTA singles rankings. Residing in communist Bulgaria, she molded her daughters into not only the best tennis players in the country but also the world. Manuela reached as high as No. 3, while Magdalena peaked at No. 4 and Katerina at No. 6. The Maleeva sisters were instrumental to the rise of women’s tennis in Bulgaria. Due to the success of the Maleeva family, Bulgaria won its first Olympic tennis medal. Youlia also experienced her own success as an athlete, winning the Bulgarian Championship nine times throughout her career. Donato Campagnoli: Donato Campagnoli officially works for the Coach Education System (ISF “Roberto Lombardi”) of FIT as a freelance advisor for the “Technical Area” since 2014, unofficially since 2002. Being part of the scientific task force of ISF, he works primarily as a lecturer, as a Player Analyst during the National Training Camps U10-18 at the FIT National Training Center and is in charge of the development of International relationships of the Coach Education. With a university background as a professional interpreter and an MBA in “Management and Economics of Sport”, he has been a coach for professional ATP players for several years within his tennis academy. Julie Coin: Julie recorded the biggest win of her career at the 2008 US Open, defeating world No. 1 Ana Ivanovic. Both ESPN and Sports Illustrated called the famous win one of the greatest upsets in tennis history. Her career-high singles ranking is world No. 60 (2009) and her career-high doubles ranking is world No. 49 (2010). As a collegiate athlete, Julie played at Clemson University, where she was an All-American, All-ACC, and was named the ACC Player of the Year, and holds numerous Clemson Women’s Tennis records. She now serves as a tennis coach at the FFT, where she inspires young women to achieve success at every level of the game. Emma Doyle: Emma is a world-class motivational speaker and a Tennis Australia High Performance Tennis Coach. In tennis, she has experience as a touring professional, a talent development coach, and served as the Australian Junior Fed Cup Captain. She currently works as a keynote speaker, mentor, and coaching consultant in an effort to help others discover their inner coach and live the best story of their lives. She has worked with over 100,000 players, coaches, teams, and organizations. Currently, she specializes in positive mindset coaching, NLP, EI (Emotional Intelligence), and Workplace and Business Coaching. Additionally, Emma created and delivered a TEDx talk called “Unleashing Female Potential”. Howard Green: Howard has been the Head of Strength & Conditioning at USN Bolton Arena High Performance Tennis Academy for 8 years. He is an accredited S&C coach with the UKSCA, a Certified Tennis Performance Specialist with the iTPA and has a First-Class Hons degree in Sports Coaching – including several coaching qualifications. Prior to coaching, Howard spent 6 years in the Royal Marines Commandos, serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. He owns his own company, HGreenTennisFit. Howard is a tennis fitness coach and works with top WTA players. Formerly Howard was the S&C coach of Ana Ivanovic and currently works with Naomi Broady. Additionally, he spends time developing juniors tennis players. Justine Henin: Justine spent a total of 117 weeks as the world No. 1 and was the year-end No. 1 in 2003/06/07. She won seven Grand Slam singles titles. Additionally, Henin captured the singles title at Roland-Garros four times throughout her storied carrier. Perhaps most impressively, she was a gold medalist at the 2004 Olympic Games and won the year-ending WTA Tour Championships in 2006 and 2007. She won 43 WTA singles titles throughout her career. At her tennis academy, Henin adapts training methods to every age and skill level, while focusing on building unique relationships with each individual athlete. She strives to create an adaptive learning environment where athletes have the resources to develop to their full potential. Jure Koscak: Currently, Jure is a Life Coach and manages and guides athletes to live more fulfilling lives. He was a professional table tennis player from 1998 to 2011, and was the Slovenian Champion with U15, U18, U21, singles, doubles, mixed doubles, and team event wins. He also started his own company, Z.IGRO. He is passionate about advancing athletes in their personal and athletic goals, as his personal goals with life coaching including guiding his clients and athletes to better lives.
