❖ Government of Telangana has established the "Telangana State Horticulture Development Corporation Limited" to promote procurement, storage, processing and marketing of good quality Horticulture Crops and their products and also to facilitate implementation of water saving technologies like Micro Irrigation, Modern Machinery etc.,

❖ Marketing of the products shall be done under the brand name of “Kakateeya Foods”.

❖ To establish the unit, Govt. has allotted 16.56 acres of land in Sy.No.171 of Govt. Seed Farm, Dhullapally (V), Gandimaisamma Dundigal (M), Medchal District (erstwhile ) vide G.O.Rt.No.371, dt:07.06.2018.

For Comprehensive Development of Spice in particular Turmeric, the government of Telangana has allotted land of 40.23 Ac for Establishment of Spice Park at Padgal village, Velpur mandal of Nizamabad dist. with a financial allocation of Rs.30.82 crores. 2. To encourage specific varieties of Turmeric crop with high curcumin percentage (i.e., more than 5.5%) by slowly routing out the existing admixture of varieties, in order to attract the processors and exporters. 3. Creation of Awareness on Latest Crop Management Practices, Post Harvest Management, Processing, Value-addition, Storage and Promotion of Turmeric Exports on a Single Platform ensuring Maximum Returns to the Farmers. 4.
