Northwest Nazarene University WORKFORCE TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES ABOUND. The Boise-Nampa MSA is home to fifteen institutions of higher education. The City of Nampa works closely with the College of Western Idaho, the nation’s fastest growing community college, to meet the workforce needs of our employers. The college features a new 176,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art professional technical education facility located in Nampa. Companies hiring employees making $12/hr or more with benefits and manufacturing products marketed outside the region are eligible to receive a minimum of $2,000 per new job created paid directly to the company for employee training. 6 EDUCATION REGIONAL OVERVIEW 07 BOISE STATE UNIVERSITY Boise State University is the largest University in Idaho. With 643 faculty members, nearly 20,000 students, and a choice of nearly 200 degrees and certificate programs, Boise State is more than just the Bronco Nation. COLLEGE OF WESTERN IDAHO (CWI) College of Western Idaho (CWI) is one of the fastest growing community colleges in the nation. Since its first offering of classes in January 2009, enrollment at CWI has grown to service more than 10,000 students a year. CWI has seven campus locations throughout Boise and Nampa, plus hundreds of classes online. In the fall of 2012, CWI introduced a new 176,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art facility to provide professional-technical training opportunities in the Valley. From its early days people relied on family members, neighbors and churches to see them through the ups and downs of the agricultural economy. Nampa’s can-do spirit comes from the strength we get from a supportive family, community and a mutual respect for individual liberty and hard work.

Arts, Culture and Fun At the Nampa Civic Center, residents enjoy an incredible array of concerts, live theater and community events in a beautiful downtown facility. Nampa is also home to the Ford Idaho Center, an entertainment venue unmatched in the state. With an arena, horse park, outdoor amphitheater and sports complex, the Ford Idaho Center hosts events all year long. From the world famous Snake River Stampede rodeo to , you are sure to find something for everyone. IDAHO TAX OVERVIEW Sales and Use Tax in Idaho is 6%. This applies to items purchased or consumed in Idaho.
