Official Contest Rules Official Contest Rules Phoenix Safe Driving Contest: ​Contest Homepage Prize: $10,000 Scholarship Location: Most of Arizona (see participating counties below) Contest Duration: April 1st, 2020 through June 1st, 2020. Eligibility High school student who attend schools in the Phoenix / Prescott region (most of Arizona) of the United States are encouraged to participate in the Phoenix Safe Driving Contest. Students must be 16 to 21 years of age, who will attend a college, university, or trade school immediately following their graduation. Participating Counties in Arizona If you live in any of the following counties, you are eligible to participate in the contest. Arizona Counties Mohave Coconino Navajo Yavapai La Paz Maricopa Gila Pinal Graham Apache S Greenlee Page 1 of 6 Entering the Contest Students can enter the contest via the contest homepage on the TextNinja HUB. Full Link: ​https://textninja.com/texting-and-driving-awareness/high-school-challenge/phoenix-contest/ 1. Complete the entry form, including parent / legal guardian details if under the age of 18. 2. You will receive an email with a link to the Motovate app to join the contest. 3. Use the Motovate app to stay focused while you drive. a. Pull up the app before driving b. Don’t use your phone while you’re driving c. The app will record safe miles driven 4. Each safe trip recorded with the app earns you an entry to win the grand prize. Selection of Winners The entry pool to win will close at 11:59 PM Pacific Time on June 1st, 2020. Random drawings will be made from the pools, and the winner will be notified via email within 30 days of each drawing. Odds of winning depend on the number of entries received. Use of Name, Likeness, Etc. As a condition of entering the contest and receiving any prize, each winner and their parents or legal guardians will be required to consent to the use of their name, age, area of residence, and school name. You will also be required to be interviewed for any publicity for feature stories and interviews for print, online, and television. You must also consent to using your likeness and prize information, without limitations, for promotional purposes without further payment. The Phoenix Union High School District (PUHSD) has many choices to offer high school students. Open enrollment enables Arizona students to attend a public school whether or not they live within the school or district boundaries. At Phoenix Union, we welcome students to explore how they can experience high school at one of our 15 high schools or in one of our many Magnet Programs. The following conditions apply to the Open Enrollment Program: 1. An Open Enrollment Application must be completed. 2. Transfer is subject to the capacity limit established for the school, program, and/or its grade level. 3. Student transportation will be the responsibility of the parent/legal guardian with the exception of students attending a Magnet Program or Metro Tech High School. Students that are attending a Magnet Program that is outside of their home attendance zone or Metro Tech High School can request that PUHSD provide them with available transportation. 4.
