With three points in their hand, a late heist during injury time left Babbel and the Wanderers floored by a late capitulation, forcing them to search for redemption once more tonight. Similarly, the Jets head into the match with their own sets of frustrations having been unable to secure any points against league leaders Perth Glory on Sunday night. BECOMING BRUCE BRUCE KAMAU HAS QUICKLY BECOME AN IMPORTANT PART OF THE WANDERERS ENGINE THIS SEASON

STORY BY JESSICA CSASZAR  @JESSICACSASZAR

From N.A.B, Kamau moved to Campbelltown City before stints at both Adelaide City and Adelaide Olympic. Known already at that time for his incredible pace and ability to create chances, Kamau was picked up by Hyundai A-League outfit Adelaide United, where he was able to make his name on the national level. During his time at United, Kamau is probably best remembered for the pain he inflicted on Wanderers members and fans orn in Kenya, Bruce Kamau was just during the Grand Final. four year's old when he moved with his Credit when credit is due, Kamau scored a Bfamily to South Australia. spectacular goal in the Grand Final which It was shortly after that Kamau signed up for caught the eye of fellow Hyundai A-League

Kamau struggled to lock down a spot in Warren Joyce's starting side at City, ultimately resulting in him choosing to swap Melbourne for Sydney's west in a bid to reignite his Hyundai A-League career. Since joining the Red & Black, Kamau has become a force to be reckoned with and has without doubt found that spark that once ignited him. Kamau has featured in 16 matches so far this season and has three assists and a goal to his name. Despite results not going the Wanderers way, Kamau is confident that the tide will turn with the team's consistent hard work and dedication. "Obviously winning is a lot easier on morale and on the team," said Kamau. "The fact that we are able to put performances in and play good football against top teams like Glory and Victory, and really for the best part of the game be on top, is something we can really take some positives out of. "Once we fine tune things and be able to get that right, then we will be a very hard team to beat." Kamau has been crucial in creating chances for the Wanderers this season having made 24 passes, highlighting the role he's played in the front third in creating vital goal-scoring opportunities. The 23-year-old is on track to break some of his own personal records from season 2016/17, but it's the role Kamau has played off the field that have had the biggest impact at the Red & Black this season. With a maturity beyond his years, Kamau has quickly become a leader to the next generation of youngsters, with Babbel choosing to promote a number of Academy players to the Hyundai A-League side. 11 "Throughout the season, I have seen the quality "That's what we are trying to do at this half-way of the boys from the youth team so I'm not too mark of the season." surprised with the way they have been performing.
