(Strategic Plan Goals 1 and 5) Supporting Enrollment Management Partnering with Student Affairs and Enrollment Management departments on University Days, New Student Orientation and Welcome Week activities. Design and implement programs to enhance social, cultural, traditional, intellectual, recreational, service, and campus governance involvement. Provide for opportunities for graduate student assistants and interns from the Adult/Higher Education and other related programs. (Strategic Plan Goal 5) Supporting Diversity and Multiculturalism Supporting division-wide involvement in programs and activities promoting cultural awareness and involvement including co-sponsorships with International Students and Scholars and Multicultural Affairs . Engaged students earn higher GPAs and more credit hours than students overall. Nationally, 71% of all fraternity and sorority members graduate, while only 50% of non-members graduate. 2/3 of students agree that joining organizations helps them to strengthen leadership skills. Student Activities was responsible for 11 events over 8 days. SGA, Campus Programming, Greek Life, and student clubs/organizations are all now under one umbrella (OSA). We have hosted over 140 events including: Summer Activities, Union Takeover, Organizational Fair, National Hazing Prevention Week, Dinners with the Chancellor, Student Activities Open House, NACB Hall of Fame Trip, Election Results Watch Party, NCCU Football Game, etc. Successfully planned and executed Homecoming 2012 events.
