Once you know the cause and remove the cause the illness will naturally go into remission. Don’t believe that cancer or any other chronic illness you have is some kind of alien growth from planet Mars. It’s normal body tissue that has changed and started to do something else. -
The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act: the Latest Obstacle in the Path to Receiving Complementary and Alternative Health Care?
The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act: The Latest Obstacle in the Path to Receiving Complementary and Alternative Health Care? CHELSEA STANLEY* INTRODUCTION In 2004, Diane Klenke was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and given three months to live.1 Klenke chose to be treated at the Block Center for Integrative Care, which specializes in integrative health care—traditional approaches alongside alternative and complementary therapies.2 After undergoing chemotherapy along with complementary and alternative nausea, nutrition, and stress-management therapies, Klenke’s cancer went into remission and has stayed that way.3 Klenke worked with the Block Center to successfully persuade her insurance company to cover her entire course of treatment and follow-up treatments, including the complementary and alternative approaches she chose.4 Despite a growing demand for such integrative care and a resultant increase in insurance coverage of alternative and complementary treatments, as one author reported, the “Path to Alternative Therapies [Remains] Littered with Obstacles.”5 The complementary and alternative health-care sector of the United States has experienced widespread growth in the past decade.6 Market growth has been fueled by a trend among patients toward alternative practices that are believed to be less costly, more in line with patient values, and more capable of easing pains associated with illnesses that cannot be cured by traditional medicine.7 Consequently, various complementary and alternative disciplines are being practiced more widely throughout the United States.8 The market for complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) is also benefitting from changes in the insurance landscape. An increasing number of employers now cover alternative health-care options pursued by their employees.9 * J.D. -

Received: 12 November 2010; in revised form: 16 December 2010 / Accepted: 28 December 2010 / Published: 30 December 2010 Abstract: The use of complementary and alternative medicines including dietary supplements, herbals and special diets to prevent or treat disease continues to be popular. The following paper provides a description of an alternative dietary approach to the self-management and treatment of cancer, the Bill Henderson Protocol (BHP). This diet encourages daily intake of raw foods, a combination of cottage cheese and flaxseed oil and a number of supplements. Some foods and food groups are restricted (e.g., gluten, meat, dairy). Early background theory that contributed to the protocol’s development is presented as is a summary of relevant evidence concerning the anti-cancer fighting properties of the individual components. Supplement intake is considered in relation to daily recommended intakes. Challenges and risks to protocol adherence are discussed. As with many complementary and alternative interventions, clear evidence of this dietary protocol’s safety and efficacy is lacking. -
A Body of Text: Physical Culture and the Marketing of Mobility
A BODY OF TEXT: PHYSICAL CULTURE AND THE MARKETING OF MOBILITY by Andrea Dale Lapin B.A., Douglass College at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey 1994 M.A., University of Pittsburgh 1998 Submitted to the Graduate Faculty of The Kenneth P. This dissertation addresses the story of Physical Culture magazine from three different perspectives, reading the magazine through lenses of media history, medical history and social context, in order to understand the ways in which class operated on and through the body. In contrast to nearly every other publication in the early twentieth century, Physical Culture suggested that class mobility was possible, and that success would naturally follow improvement of body and health. -

Wardwell University of Connecticut The evolution of chiropractic from a marginal health profession to the strongest and most popular alternative to orthodox medicine in the United States is examined and compared with osteopathy and naturopathy. Evidence is offered that 1974 was the landmark year for recognition of chiropractors (e.g., accreditation of colleges, reim- bursement for services under Medicare) and relaxation of the American Medical Association's policy of active and overt opposition (e.g., elimination from its code of ethics of the tabu on professional association. The pub- lic policy question of the future status of chiropractors is raised and alternatives considered. It is concluded that the most likely outcome, as well as the best for all concerned, is for chiropractic to evolve to a "limited medical" professional status comparable to that of dentis- try, podiatry, optometry, and psychology. -

(London) President, Flax Awareness Society 7-B-43, Mahaveer Nagar III, Kota (Raj.) https://gobudwig.com http://budwig.in +919460816360 Foreword by Lothar Hirneise My Teacher - Dr. Johanna Budwig It is a great pleasure for me to write this foreword. I really appreciate how much energy Dr. O.P.Verma invested in the last ten years to learn, to practice and to spread the brilliance of the oil- protein diet in India. I hope that most cancer patients will read this book and learn the basis of this great cancer therapy. This book will definitely add a new dimension in the Alternative Cancer Treatment scenario and will prove a new mile stone in the awareness of Budwig Protocol. First time I heard of Dr. Johanna Budwig and the oil-protein diet was precisely in America, as Frank Wiewel, President of People Against Cancer, USA told me that he had been in contact with Dr. Budwig for several years. He advised me to visit Dr. Budwig because I lived only one hour by car away from her home in Germany. I then visited Dr. Budwig in the spring of 1998 for the first time and from the beginning it was an intense relationship that persisted for many years. Over several years I was a close companion of this grand dame of Science and we drank a few glasses of champagne together and discussion only interrupted by her afternoon nap, which she always held, countless hours about nutrition, oncology, church and many medical things in general.
