Collecting Records on Southeast Asian Penthe Newman (Coleoptera: Tetratomidae)

Abstract Specimen data of three species of the genus Penthe Newman, 1838 from Southeast Asia are shown with habitus and male genital figures. The following collecting data are the first distributional records: Penthe reitteri Nikitsky, 1998 from Laos and Vietnam, and P. kochi Mařan, 1940 from Guangxi Prov., China. Species list of the subfamily Penthinae Lacordaire, 1859 is provid- ed in the appendix.

Introduction Records Ten species of the genus Penthe Newman, 1838 (Coleo- Penthe almorensis Champion, 1917 (Figs. 1, 4) ptera, Tetratomidae, Penthinae) have been recorded from Asia (Appendix), but its collecting records are rare and Specimens examined. 5 exs. In this time, we Penthe obliquata (Fabricius, 1798) N. America could not examine any specimen of P. reitteri collected from Penthe pimelia (Fabricius, 1787) N. America Taiwan.
