As a born-again believer, I’m thankful that the Lord gave me the wisdom to see through a fi ne man who is a preacher in the South but holds Northeastern liberal views on all but 2 issues. Mr. Huckabee said that all of us who opposed the McCain amnesty bill, did so out of “nativism and racism.” I am used to being falsely accused of racism by those on the left, but to be called one by a so-called conservative bothers me. Five and a half years is not very long to serve as a university president. Sounds like he got vested in the state retirement system (takes 5 years) and is ready to receive another retirement check. I wouldn’t be surprised if that was the plan all along. Katie
I was at USC when Sorensen arrived. He does a very good job of pretending to care about students without actually caring. He’s a liar and I’m glad he’s leaving. Brian
Dr. Sorensen was a great president and he changed the face of the university for the better. He cares deeply about education and students. Anyone who actually has had a conversation with him could testify to this. jimbo327
