New Food and Beverage Director, Rene Rios The Meadows Country Club recently gave a warm welcome to Rene Rios, our new Food and Beverage Director. Rene came to the country club from the Lakewood Ranch Golf and Country Club. Joseph is a Detroit native and has lived everywhere from Michigan to the Virgin Islands. “We’re professional volunteers,” Agnes Rutushni says laughingly about herself and her husband Jim, after they reluctantly produce a long list of activities (both in and out of The Meadows) which occupy their time and attention. The list is impressive. But it isn’t the activities, it’s the attitude that makes this self-starting couple so effective and inspirational. That positive attitude, coupled with their real enthusiasm for our community, inspires the nicknames, “Mr. and Mrs. Meadows.” But not in their hearing range, because this duo rejects any applause for what they have done.
