Med Adel is a Constructive and educated Technical Project Manager leveraging career of more than 10 years in Software production sector. Adel is also a multilingual passionate professional Software Engineer and Technical Project Manager who can work in English, French as well as Arabic and who worked on a wide variety of projects ranging from small and medium sized projects reaching enterprise level projects serving millions of users. Throughout his career, he worked for 3 of the world greatest Software kingdoms (Microsoft, IBM & Orange Labs) which gave him the opportunity to work with different people from different nationalities, cultures and backgrounds; he also founded and managed his own startup software house - Rashdan Information Technology where he was able to fulfill his passion about programming and software production and was able then to create some custom software products and solutions for different companies in several countries. All together during the past 10 years of hard work gave him some good technical, managerial and business experiences producing software within the technology, telecom and some other various industries. Med is also working on his Masters' degree in AI and NLP making some researches and is about to get his AI Masters' degree from Cairo university this year.

Current Orange Labs Egypt - Orange International R&D Labs, Cairo, Egypt., Smart Village Technically managed 5 project distributed remote teams in France, Spain, Romania, Poland, Morocco and 1 local team for technical development in Agile environment for 2.5 m euros/year project. Communicated project plans and progress to key stakeholders, including project contributors, business, operational and technical resources. Gathered and analyzed project requirements through interactions, meetings and periodic walkthroughs with potential application users and to develop business requirements documents (BRD) and functional requirements documents (FRD), "as is" and "to be" processes and user mockups. Formulated integration system process flows, business process model and notation (BPMN) plans and data mapping diagrams based on stakeholders' specifications, technology surveys and interviews. Outlined work plans, determined resources, wrote timelines and generated initial budgets as part of project scope determination. Providing structured software engineering technical training to the junior Software Engineers at IBM. Trained and managed technically 3 junior teams of 20 developers. Collaborated with product management to design, build and test salable, highly available and modular software products. Designed, implemented and monitored web pages and sites for continuous improvement. Tested programs and databases to identify issues and make necessary modifications. Carefully documented technical workflows and knowledge in private wiki for education of newly hired employees. Developed code fixes and enhancements for inclusion in future code releases and patches. ● Mobile Connect - Orange Labs France, Orange Spain and Orange MEA. Mobile Connect is one of the biggest Identity projects in Europe – having many implementations by several operators, Orange used to have its own implementation to serve its countries. Project Size: The project is currently serving 6 Million+ users in Spain and more than 1 Million users in MEA. Role in the project: One of the main technical project managers of the project in Spain and all the MEA countries.
● Orange Cash (Aka. Orange Money) – Payment Platform in France and MEA The famous Orange Cash platform widely used in France, Spain, Romania and a lot of African Countries – a money transfer platform created by Orange Labs. Project Size: The project is currently serving 14.5 Million+ users worldwide. Role in the project: One of the Product Owners in EMEA.
● Orange Livebox Phone – Orange Labs. Livebox Phone was an application used to manage the livebox smart home technologies through the client mobile phone including features like answering his fixed phone calls through his mobile if not at home. Project Size: The project served more than 2M users Role in the project: Front-End mobile components Technical Project Manager
● Orange Flexi – DSS Management System – Orange Labs – this system was an internal confidential, now replaced by a newer system. Flexi is one of the most important internal systems at Orange used by almost all the top management level to generate some daily/weekly/monthly reports and show them the numbers. Role in the project: Software Developer (.Net + SQL) and Scrum Master.
● Djinguest – Orange Labs France Djinguest is the innovation winner project for 2018 through all Orange Labs worldwide – this NLP system based on the Orange Djingo NLP technology is still in the anticipation phase and didn't reach the production level yet. Role in the project: Main Product Owner + Developer.
● Orange Virtual Assistant (OVA) – Chat bot and virtual agent - Orange OVA is a dynamic chat bot that can be easily integrated to any site serving thousands of Orange clients and its partners all over the world. Role in the project: Software Developer (Java and Javascript + PostgreSQL) and Scrum Master.
● Representatives Point of Sales System - Yemeni Café Systems – Rashdan Information Technology This Point of Sale application accessible through Mobiles as well as a Desktop app was created to sell the coffee for the biggest Coffee producer in MEA – serving millions of users. Project Size: This project used to serve more than 5M users with more than 100 K daily transactions.
