Wölfe und Herdenschutz – von Jonathan Shaun Minko 02.18 1. Herdenschutzhund ist nicht gleich Herdenschutzhund Jeder, der sich schon mal mit Hundezucht befasst hat, wird feststellen dass HSH nicht gleich HSH, Jack-Russel nicht gleich Jack Russel und Schäferhund nicht gleich Schäferhund ist. Es ist richtig dass ein kleiner drahtiger, fast schon pinscherartiger Pitbullterrier von 16 kg der für Hundekämpfe gezüchtet wurde und ein Austellungs-AmStaff, ein 40 kg schwerer American Bully allesamt englische und irische Kampfhunde zum Vorfahren haben. Doch kämpft der eine locker 2 Stunden in der Arena während der andere nach 15 Minuten aufgibt oder aus der Pit gefegt wird. Ebenso ein auf Schönheit getrimmter Sibirische Husky aus Ausstellungszucht, der durch seine bestechend blauen Augen Ausstellungspreise abräumt aber anders als seine Cousins in der Tundra Sibiriens keinen Blumentopf als Arbeitshund oder bei einem 500 Meilen Schlittenrennen gewinnt. Doch haben beide Schlittenhunde zum Vorfahren. Und selbiges gilt für Herdenschutzhund und Jagdhunde. Ein Hund ist nur so lange ein Kampfhund, Herdenschutzhund, Jagdhund oder Hütehund wie er, seine Vorfahren und seine Nachkommen für eine bestimmte Aufgabe selektiert wurde, ausgebildet wird und nur diejenigen sich vermehren die für die Aufgabe tauglich sind. So wie ein von Afro-Amerikaner aus der Bronx sich nicht automatisch im Senegal wohlfühlt, weiß wie man Hirse zubereitet und Löwen tötet nur weil seine Vorfahren vor 300 Jahren von dort gegen ihren Willen verschleppt wurden. Auch wenn er gegenüber mir russlanddeutschem Weißbrot den Vorteil hat nicht sofort von der afrikanischen Sonne ohne Lichtschutzfaktor 50 komplett gegrillt zu werden. So ist es auch mit Herdenschutzhunden. Ein HSH ist ein Hund der durch sorgfältige Auslese, das Vorbild der Eltern und Sozialisierung und Ausbildung durch Menschen dazu gemacht wird. -
