The gala was scheduled for March 6 but was postponed after New Zealand entered Covid-19 Alert Level 2.The gala had a refresh this year, with live music and fresh flowers for sale, along with the usual winning wheel, horizontal bungy, adventure land truck, white elephant jumble and food and vege stalls. Organiser Shay Podjursky said it was a “fantastic” day. “There was a really good crowd. The weather was amazing, the music was awesome and the food was delicious. Heaps of families came out to enjoy time together. It was really neat watching so many kids having fun. We are looking forward to next year already.” The amount raised for the school is still being counted and is expected to be more than $20,000.
