DELIVERING THE REGENERATION PROSPECTUS MAY 2015 2 delivering the WHitechapel vision n 2014 the Council launched the national award-winning Whitechapel Masterplan, to create a new and ambitious vision for Whitechapel which would Ienable the area, and the borough as a whole, to capitalise on regeneration opportunities over the next 15 years. These include the civic redevelopment of the Old Royal London Hospital, the opening of the new Crossrail station in 2018, delivery of new homes, and the emerging new Life Science campus at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL). These opportunities will build on the already thriving and diverse local community and local commercial centre focused on the market and small businesses, as well as the existing high quality services in the area, including the award winning Idea Store, the Whitechapel Art Gallery, and the East London Mosque. The creation and delivery of the Whitechapel Vision Masterplan has galvanised a huge amount of support and excitement from a diverse range of stakeholders, including local residents and businesses, our strategic partners the Greater London Authority and Transport for London, and local public sector partners in Barts NHS Trust and QMUL as well as the wider private sector. There is already rapid development activity in the Whitechapel area, with a large number of key opportunity sites moving forward and investment in the area ever increasing. The key objectives of the regeneration of the area include: • Delivering over 3,500 new homes by 2025, including substantial numbers of local family and affordable homes; • Generating some 5,000 new jobs; • Transforming Whitechapel Road into a destination shopping area for London • Creating 7 new public squares and open spaces. -

INVESTMENT MARKET COMMENTARY For the Period 1 October – 31 December 2020 PRIVATE & CONFIDENTIAL APAM Ltd 3 Barrett Street London W1U 1AY T: 0207 963 8858 | E: | W: www.apamuk.com [email protected] As at 6 January 2021 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY On Christmas Eve 2020, the UK and EU agreed a trade deal, ahead of the end of the transition period in January 2021. The deal has been referred to as a framework, with key issues such as financial services, to continue to be debated in the New Year. Yet, the deal represents a key moment in the UK’s exit from the bloc and assuages any concerns over the damaging effects of crashing out in a no-deal scenario. In certain areas, such as tax and state aid, the UK and EU have agreed high level commonality in rules but have not yet fleshed out the details. In other areas, such as farming, the UK has accepted greater friction in trade with the EU in order to assure the flexibility to strike deals with the rest of the world. With the conclusion of the EU trade deal and a separate deal with Turkey, the UK has now signed 62 trade agreements since it left the European Union. The markets have responded positively to the UK’s progress as it endeavours to redefine itself as a forward-thinking green tech hub in the post-Brexit world. After emerging from a month-long lockdown, the UK successfully approved and administered the world’s first COVID-19 vaccine. Markets rallied on the news with the MSCI All-Country World Index climbing by a record 12.2% in November, followed by a correction on 21 December after the discovery of a variant strain of the virus and the imposition of a strict lockdown which is expected to last until February. -

In India, as the requirements of this evolving labour market change, co-working spaces fulfil many of the new needs. The aim of this paper is twofold: to describe the development of the co-working industry in India, its driving factors, as well as the architecture, design and social aspects of the work environment; and explore the demographics of co-workers, the kind of jobs they do, their work conditions, interactions, career aspirations, and satisfaction levels. The study builds on a survey of 462 people working at co-working spaces operated by WeWork, and was supplemented by interviews with staff, as well as a literature review. -
