This invitation, first extended to the BSA in 1910 by President William Howard Taft, initially allowed BSA representatives to meet with leaders in our nation’s capital to discuss the successes and highlights of the Scouting organization. Urner Goodman Camping Award The Order of the Arrow is pleased to announce the selection of eight lodges for the 2007 E. Urner Goodman Camping Award. The award was established as a tribute and testimonial to the Order’s founder, E. Urner Goodman. Its purpose is to encourage Order of the Arrow lodges to increase their effectiveness in promoting and expanding Scout camping in each region.
