A RESOLUTION Adjourning the Senate in Honor of Delbert Jackson Willis Upon the Occasion

A RESOLUTION adjourning the Senate in honor of Delbert Jackson Willis upon the occasion of his 80th birthday.

WHEREAS, Delbert Jackson Willis was born in Clifty, Todd County, Kentucky on March 5, 1934, the cherished son of the late Robert Jackson Willis and Sibyl Lack Willis; and

WHEREAS, Delbert Jackson Willis is the husband of Mary Ethel Hancock Willis. The couple are the parents of three children, Wilda Annette Willis Caudle, Lori Kristin Willis Cheanvechai, and Jeffrey Jackson Willis; seven grandchildren, Eric Richard Caudle, Zachary Ruben Hargis, Christian Taylor Hargis, Kortney Wayne Willis, Noah Lee Cheanvechai, Alec Jackson Willis, and Naiya Hope Cheanvechai; and two great-grandchildren, Austin Bradley Caudle and Bailey Christine Caudle; and

WHEREAS, Delbert Jackson Willis turned 80 years old on March 5, 2014, and this honorable body hereby commends him for a life well-lived and wishes him the best of luck as he continues his extraordinary journey on this earth; and

WHEREAS, Delbert Jackson Willis was a longtime employee of the Peabody Coal Company and a farmer; and

WHEREAS, Delbert Jackson Willis is hereby honored on his 80th birthday by this honorable body, who rightfully applauds Mr. Willis today for his life well-lived;

NOW, THEREFORE,

Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky:

âSection 1. The Senate hereby honors Delbert Jackson Willis upon the occasion of his 80th birthday, and grants him best wishes as he continues his honorable life.

âSection 2. When the Senate adjourns this day, it does so in honor of Delbert Jackson Willis.

âSection 3. The Clerk of the Senate is directed to transmit a copy of this Resolution to Senator Julian Carroll for delivery.
