Benefits of Walking in The Favor of God

Author: Pastor Sandy Banks – 12/30/2012

Summary:

God wants you to succeed in every area of life! With His Presence in your life, you can. God’s favor can open doors of opportunities and place you at the right place at the right time for His Blessings. Even if you lack the necessary qualifications, His favor can propel you forward to your destiny. One day of favor can secure your future forever. You need to know that God’s desire is to solve your impossible situations and circumstances and that He has already made provisions for us in Christ Jesus (2 Peter 1:3, KJV). If we really begin to understand how much God Loves us and what He has done for us in Christ, no situation would ever have the dominion or mastery over us. When you begin to see yourself the way God sees you, crowned with His Glory and Honor (Psalms 8:5), then you’ll begin to expect favor and success in every situation. You’ll begin to expect every adversity you go through to be turned into victory in your life. You’ll begin to expect to have authority over your circumstances, why? Because you are the Apple of God’s Eye and God favored you.

Scriptures: Psalms 8:5

Favor – A kind, gracious and friendly act; something given as a token of love, affection or remembrance; to perform a kindness for; something granted out of goodwill rather than for justice or payment. It’s what Jesus did at Calvary that earned you the favor of God. Isaiah 61:1-2; Luke 4:18-19

Favor is a Gift - it’s not something that you worked for, it’s not something that is earned. (Ephesians 2:8-9)

a.  O God, we have heard of the glorious miracles you did in the days long ago. Our forefathers have told us how you drove the heathen nations from this land and gave it all to us, spreading Israel from one end of the country to the other. They did not conquer by their own strength and skill, but by your mighty power and because you smiled upon them and favored them. (Psalms 44:1-3, KJV, LB)

5.  Favor produces battles won which you won’t even have to fight because God will fight them for you. (Psalms 44:1-3, LB)

6.  Favor produces great victories in the midst of great impossibilities.

a.  14 When Abram heard that his nephew Lot had been captured, he mobilized the 318 trained men who had been born into his household. Then he pursued Kedorlaomer’s army until he caught up with them at Dan. 15 There he divided his men and attacked during the night. Kedorlaomer’s army fled, but Abram chased them as far as Hobah, north of Damascus. 16 Abram recovered all the goods that had been taken, and he brought back his nephew Lot with his possessions and all the women and other captives.17 After Abram returned from his victory over Kedorlaomer and all his allies, the king of Sodom went out to meet him in the valley of Shaveh (that is, the King’s Valley). (Genesis 14:1-13, 14-17, NLT)

7.  Favor produces recognition and promotion even when you seem to the least likely one to receive it.

10.  Favor causes policies, rules, regulations and laws to be changed and reverse to your advantage.

a.  And said, If it please the king, and if I have found favour in his sight, and the thing seem right before the king, and I be pleasing in his eyes, let it be written to reverse the letters devised by Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, which he wrote to destroy the Jews which are in all the king’s provinces: (Esther 8:5, KJV)
