Producer Filmography

In 1994, Véronique Lehouck founded her own company that specializes in the production of videos addressing environmental, social and political issues. Her producing and directing credits include:

§  GE Foods & Labelling (genetic engineering)

§  Improving the Nation's Health, Naturally (natural health remedies)

Both 10-minute videos were produced on behalf of the Canadian Health Food Association. English and French versions of the videos were distributed to all MPs in Ottawa to lobby for improved government regulations.

§  Dr. Krop: Environmental Medicine, Organic Farming,

Agricultural Pesticides, & Environmental Artists.

Part of a series of short documentaries on environmental and spiritual issues produced for Vision TV's current affairs show Skylight.

§  Being Gifted (English version of “Les 130 watts”)

Thirty-minute educational documentary that explores the social challenges gifted students face. Aired on TVOntario.

Producer Background

Véronique Lehouck has a BFA degree in Film Production from Concordia University. Since graduating in 1985, she has held key creative positions on film and video productions, progressing from cinematographer, to editor, director and producer. Her knowledge of the television and film industry is extensive having worked for the National Film Board, CBC, TVOntario, Vision TV, History Channel, and the Discovery Channel. In the past three years, Véronique has taught part-time video courses and workshops at community colleges.

Véronique is also an environmental and political activist. Since 1995, she has been involved as a writer and organizer with a number of environmental groups including Women’s Network on Health and Environment, Toronto Environmental Alliance, Council of Canadians and Greenpeace. Her most recent contributions include fundraising and organizing for various political campaigns. She is involved in drafting environmental policy for the federal NDP.
