Job Title: Graduate Development Consultant

Department: Enterprise – Rolls Royce

Responsible to: Head of Operations (Rolls Royce)

Main purpose of job:

The Graduate Development Team are responsible for implementing the Company graduate development strategy and policy. This is delivered by a highly focused, customer facing team, this team, which reports to the Company Graduate Development Manager, has an exciting opportunity for two Graduate Development Consultants. These consultants will support the delivery of global development frameworks for Company Graduate and intern trainees.

Main Duties

 Planning training/development programmes with trainees, taking individual, professional bodies and business requirements into account and ensuring trainees complete programmes effectively and to the satisfaction of programme owners.

 Provide appropriate career development coaching and counselling to trainees whilst on programme.

 Support the Company Graduate Development Manager and key stakeholders to define, agree, standardise and continually improve global programme content and design to meet the business/function needs.

 Represent as required the trainees at appropriate Development Cells.

 Ensure that business/company support mechanisms operate effectively e.g. attachment allocation process.

 Ensure clear communication channels exist with trainees, governance boards, line managers, mentors and HR stakeholders including HR executives, Shared Service providers and Resourcing and Deployment senior consultants.

FM/GN.172/01  Verify that the development of trainees is integrated within the wider Rolls- Royce architecture for developing future talent.

 Support and monitor the transaction of programme graduates into first positions and potentially the Company high potential pools.

 Coordinate activities with other relevant HR colleagues which impact upon graduate development processes i.e. global business and function trainee demand signals and budgeting practices, global reward strategy for trainees, support processes through the HR Shared Services.

 Support the development and deployment of subject matter expertise and contribute to requests for data analysis, position papers and opinion from internal and external parties.

 Coordinate and support allocated specific company projects – e.g. graduate induction, learning and development award support.
