Who:

Eclipse Award winning jockey Javier Castellano started his career in Venezuela before quickly joining the NY circuit. In 2013, 2014, and 2015, Javier earned the highest purse money of any other jockey in North America as well as the Eclipse Awards for Top Jockey. With over 4000 career victories, two of Javier’s most notable mounts are Bernardini and Ghostzapper, who he rode to victory in the 2004 Breeders’ Cup Classic. His father was also a jockey and his brother Abel currently rides at Gulfstream Park.

Walker Hancock, managing director of Claiborne Farm, is hardly new to the game. Walker is the fourth generation of Hancocks involved with the farm that has been producing champion racehorses for over 100 years. Walker graduated from the University of Florida in 2014 with a degree in Animal Sciences. Claiborne Farms has been the home of many of the sport’s greats over the past century plus, including Secretariat, Bold Ruler, and Danzig. One of their more recent successes on the racetrack was Blame, who beat previously undefeated Zenyatta in the 2010 Breeders’ Cup Classic. Top sire War Front currently stands at Claiborne Farms.

Tom Amoss, most notably a horse trainer, is currently appearing on Saratoga Live on MSG Plus and Fox Sports2, appearing alongside At the Post Live host Andy Serling. In the past, he has served as an analyst for TVG and ESPN. Before training on his own, he worked under Frank Brothers, Larry Robideaux, and John Parisella. He has won nine training titles at the Fair Grounds and was inducted into the Fair Grounds Hall of Fame in 1998.

Paul Matties is a highly regarded horseplayer and handicapper who drew national attention when he won the 2016 DRF/NTRA National Handicapping Challenge. Considered by many to be one of the top minds in the game, Paul, who resides locally, is also a horse owner.

At The Post Live is produced by Camden Entertainment and is promoted in partnership with ESPN Radio, presenting partner NYRA Bets, premier partner Capital OTB and participating partner TimeformUS.
