Guest Speaker: Osceola Campus: Elizabeth Sabillion – Student Development

·  MEETING THEME: DRESS FOR SUCCESS! Why? We will now be asking each BTS student to come dressed in BUSINESS PROFESSIONAL attire for every campus meeting. We think that it is important to stress the concept of scholarship and excellence – very similar to attending a business meeting and therefore you should come dressed with your “business” mindset ready!

See this link for examples http://www.sph.emory.edu/careers/documents/ProfessionalDressforSuccess.pdf

·  Community Service Hours and Workshops: Keep track of deadlines!

You are required to be at your assigned location for an entire academic year.

March 4, 2016 - by 5:00pm 15 hour community service & 2 skillshops

April 8, 2016 – by 5:00pm 15 hours community service & 2 skillshops

·  All students are required to complete community service hours and skillshops. This includes students who attend the Learning Support Center for tutoring and students enrolled in developmental classes. Many of you got credit for “extra” skillshops in the Fall term; these will be counted for the Spring.

·  Drop/Refund Deadline: January 19, 2016 (11:59pm). Students must be enrolled in a minimum of 9 credit hours in the spring term to be eligible for their scholarship. If you have been given permission by Ms. Godfrey to take less than 9 credits then you are fine. Any withdrawals after the drop/refund deadline will cause for YOU THE STUDENT to have to pay for that course. You will also be limited in the amount of credits that you can take for the following term.
