HATTON CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES June 5, 2017, 6:P.M.

The Hatton City Council met at the City offices on Monday, Jun 5th, at 6:00 P.M. Council members attending were: Bernie Johnson, David Vold, Mark Duncan, Annette Glennon, Kim Ostlie and Curtis Huus. Special Guest was Brandon Oye . Dan Cute and Steve Gylten were also in attendance. Mayor Douglas Meier called the meeting to order with the Pledge of Allegiance at 6:00 PM Brandon Oye from Moore Engineering made a presentation on the funding for the street project. Motion was made by Mark Duncan and seconded by Annette Glennon to have Moore Engineering to continue with the funding process and to pay the $34,400.00 studies and reports fee. Motion carried.

Mark Duncan motioned to approve the minutes from the May 1, 2017 Council meeting. Kim Ostlie seconded the motion. Motion carried. The monthly maintenance report was presented by Steve Gylten. Annette Glennon made a motion to accept the report; seconded by Bernie Johnson. Motion carried. Mark Duncan made the motion, seconded by Kim Ostlie, to accept and approve all of the May 2017 financial reports. Motion carried. Curtis Huus seconded the motion. Motion carried. Buck’s Place and The Blueline Bar and Grill applications for their annual Liquor /Beer licenses were approved. Mark Duncan made the motion and seconded by Curtis Huus . Motion carried. City Council agreed to the Bond of the City Auditor Bernie Johnson made the motion and seconded by David Vold. Motion carried. Ben and Kallie Naastad’s application for tax exemption on their new home was approved. Mark Duncan made the motion and seconded by Curtis Huus. Motion carried. The Council approved the upgrade of the CodeRED system from a 911 only to a 911 and general message system. David Vold made the motion and seconded by Mark Duncan. Motion carried. Maintenance Summer Part-time employees wage increase was approved. Motion made by Bernie Johnson and seconded by David Vold. Motion carried. The Building permits applications summited by Fil Enger and Brian Dafforn were reviewed; Mark Duncan made a motion to approve the permits; Kim Ostlie seconded the motion. Motion carried. Having no other business, Mark Duncan made the motion to adjourn; seconded Curtis Huus. Motion carried. The meeting was adjourned at 8:45 PM.

The next City Council Meeting will be held on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at 6:00 P.M.
