Inland Empire 0 1 .000 1.0 Gio Brusa walked to begin the inning and advanced to third on an errant throw to center field following a Sandro Fabian bunt. Brusa promptly scored the tying run on a wild pitch and Brandon Van Horn doubled home Fabian to put San Jose up 6-5. The Quakes left * Second-Half Division Winner runners stranded on first and second in the bottom of the ninth, as Frank Rubio secured the save and Moseley (2-2) was saddled with the loss. CAL LEAGUE SCOREBOARD STAT STUFFERS: The Quakes finished near the top in a number of primary offensive categories during the first-half schedule. Yesterday Rancho slugged a league-leading 81 home runs while scoring 354 total runs and amassing 324 RBI, second among the field. Third Inland Empire 5 at Lancaster 7 baseman Rylan Bannon finished second in the league with 15 total home runs and Cristian Santana drove in a league-leading 44 RBI. Lake Elsinore 6 at Visalia 8 ALL-STAR QUAKES: The Rancho Cucamonga Quakes were represented quite well in this year's edition of the All-Star Game, San Jose 6 at Rancho Cucamonga 5 as seven players headed to Lancaster for the annual event. Of the seven players, three of them were in the starting lineup as Rylan Modesto 4 at Stockton 5 Bannon started at third base, Connor Wong started at catcher and Logan Landon covered right field. Gavin Lux was also named a starter to the team but due to injury was unable to play. Omar Estevez was a late addition to the All-Star team, filling the spot of Lux. In addition, pitchers Dean Kremer and Tony Gonsolin were also named to the South Division squad. Today FIRST-HALF CHAMPS: The Quakes put together an impressive stretch of winning over the final three weeks of the season en Inland Empire at Lancaster, 6:35 PM route to their first-half championship. Inland Empire at Lancaster, 6:05 PM MAY DAY: RHP Dustin May (2-3) is scheduled to make his tenth start on the season for the Quakes today. May last pitched at Lake Elsinore at Visalia, 7:00 PM Inland Empire on June 15th and tossed six shutout innings, walking two and striking out four in a no-decision. The right hander San Jose at Rancho Cucamonga, 7:05 PM has not allowed an earned run over his last two starts which spans 11 total innings, the longest stretch for May this season. A Justin Modesto at Stockton, 7:10 PM ,TX native, May was drafted out of Northwest HS by the Dodgers in the third round of the 2016 draft and currently ranks as the #10 prospect in the system by MLPPipeline.com OPPOSING PITCHER: LHP Mac Marshall (0-0) is scheduled to make his ninth start of the season for the Giants and first against 2018 QUAKES AT A GLANCE the Quakes.
