The career of Nile Rodgers is one of the most enduring and prolific in music. Among music legends, Nile Rodgers is truly exceptional. As the co-founder of CHIC, Rodgers pioneered a musical language that sparked the advent of hip-hop with “Good Times,” distinguished CHIC as the “most sam- pled band in history” (The Guardian, 2011), won CHIC ten Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominations, and generated groundbreaking pop hits like “Le Freak,” which was inducted into the 2015 Grammy Hall of Fame. All auction items are donated and 100% of proceeds directly benefit East End Arts. Please take a moment to view the many wonderful art items, experiences, jewelry and other goods available for bidding. There is something for everyone! Procedures To Bid: Write your name, phone number and bid amount on corresponding Lot # Bid Sheet. Minimum Bid/Bidding Increments: Each item or group of items has a Lot # and a starting Minimum Bid. You are welcome and encouraged to bid more than the bidding increment. Any improper bids will be deemed invalid. Silent Auction Closes at 9:45 PM: The highest bid at closing will be circled by an Auction Committee official and will constitute the winning bid. Payment: Payment must be made at the event (cash, check made out to East End Arts, or credit card at the cashier table). Before leaving, please remember to take your winning items. Conditions of Sale All sales are final. When you bid, you are promising to purchase the item if you are the winner. By his/her purchase, the buyer waives any claims for liability against East End Arts & Humanities Council or the donors of the property or services. East End Arts warrants neither the quality nor value of the items. All items are sold “as is.” By participating in this auction each bidder agrees that neither East End Arts nor anyone who assists in the conduct of this auction shall be liable for an occurrence resulting from the use of auctioned items or services. Winning bidders are to pick up and pay for their items by cash, check or credit card by 11:00 PM this evening.
