The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference is a premier NCAA Division II conference located in the states of Colorado, Nebraska, New Mexico, South Dakota, and Utah. The RMAC currently competes in 23 NCAA Division II sports and has earned 52 NCAA Division II national championships and 44 national runner-ups since 1992. Founded in 1909, the RMAC is the most historic athletic conference headquartered in the western United States and also in Division II.

Chris Dorich Head Coach 32nd Season 284-262-44 Record

Chris Dorich enters his 32nd season as the head coach of the Westminster men’s soccer program in 2015. Dorich is the only head coach in the history of the program and he has amassed 283 wins as the leader of the Griffins. In 2012, Dorich was named the National Coach of the Year, Region IV by the United States Adult Soccer Association.

Since Dorich launched the men’s soccer program at Westminster in 1984, the team has posted 16 winning seasons and finished with double-digit wins on 11 occasions. The team had six straight season on 10-plus wins from 1990-1995 and set a school record with 15 wins during the 2001 campaign. Dorich has also guided Westminster to 20 postseason appearances and they made eight trips to the NAIA Region I Playoffs from 1994-2007.

With 283 wins coaching in the NAIA, Dorich ranks 21st all-time among NAIA coaches in career victories.

Westminster finished at .500 or better for seven consecutive seasons from 2006–2012. Since 2006, Westminster has compiled an overall record of 86-68-10 (.555) with seven trips to the postseason. The 2007 team went 14-5 for the year and the .737 winning percentage is the second-best percentage in school history.

While leading the men’s soccer program at Westminster, Dorich has seen 72 student-athletes recognized by the NAIA as a scholar-athlete. The Griffins led the nation in 2012 with nine Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.

Dorich began his collegiate soccer career at Edinboro State University (NCAA II) in Edinboro, Pennsylvania. He graduated from St. Vincent College in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, with a degree in mechanical engineering in 1975, received his M.B.A. from Westminster College in 1996 and his Masters Degree in Technology Management from Westminster College in 2007. Dorich exemplifies life-long learning. His passion for education continues to influence many of his players.

Dorich coached soccer and lacrosse at St. Vincent College in Latrobe from 1975 CHRIS DORICH’S YEARLY RECORDS to 1982 before launching the program at Westminster in 1984.
