debuting in a Wanderers' away match against Wellington Phoenix last weekend along with Kosta Grozos featuring on the bench and signing a scholarship contract with the Red & Black senior team. The Wanderers have also snared star striker John Roberts from Melbourne City, joining an attacking third with the likes of Abraham Majok and Lachlan Scott. The squad have together scored a remarkable 26 goals in the competition, more than any other club, and have conceded only 12. Of those goals scored, 13 different Wanderers have found the back of the net this season. Mohamad Adam and Kosta Grozos lead the golden boot race with four goals each, closely followed by Majok on three. With the Grand Final in sights for the Red & Black, they will need to keep a close eye on their cross town rivals results with Sydney FC needing to drop points this weekend to ensure that they don’t have any hope of qualifying for the final match of the competition. The Wanderers will then only need one point to secure a place in the Grand Final and will be the first Foxtel Y-League side in Wanderers history to do this. The Red & Black have a bye this weekend before they play in their final regular season match against Newcastle Jets at No.2 Sporting Ground.
