Daktronics will provide two new large LED video displays and new Show Control system prior to the start of the 2010 NFL season at M&T Bank Stadium, home of the Baltimore Ravens.

BROOKINGS, S.D. – Dec. 3, 2009 - Daktronics (Nasdaq-DAKT) and the Maryland Stadium Authority announced today that the company will design, manufacture and install new large screen video displays for M&T Bank Stadium, home of the ’s Baltimore Ravens. The multimillion dollar upgrade project includes two large end zone video displays, video processors, and the company’s new Show Control system. “We are pleased to provide fans with an improved video system,” said John Morton III, Chairman of the Maryland Stadium Authority. “Although the boards are being replaced due to concerns about functionality, they also represent a significant upgrade and will result in dramatic energy savings. New technology eliminates the need for 54 tons of cooling required by the old system.” “The Ravens’ goal is to provide the best home-game experience in football and our video boards are a significant element in our presentation,” said Dick Cass, President of the Ravens. “Adding the high resolution displays from Daktronics will be spectacular. We’re excited to see the difference on our screens, and we believe they will greatly enhance Ravens game day for our fans.” Daktronics will be providing its popular HD-16 LED video technology in the stadium, retrofit into the existing end zone structures. Each display will measure approximately 24 feet high by 100 feet wide. HD-16 technology provides incredible wide angle viewing for better visibility for more fans, increased contrast, and superb image clarity with the ability to display 4.4 trillion shades of color.
