THE SALE OF INTOXICATING LIQUORS LAW. (CAP. 152.)

SALE OF INTOXICATING LIQUORS (RETAILERS CLOSING 52V0i.11243 v 52 Vol. II 364 HOURS) ORDER. 1. This Order may be cited as­ the Sale of Intoxicating Liquors (Retailers Closing Hours) Order. 2. In this Order— . " town" means the municipal limits of the towns of , , , , , and includes the villages of , and in the district of Nicosia, Lefkara in the district of Larnaca, Polis in the district of Paphos, and and in the district of Kyrenia ; " improvement area" means the improvement areas set out in the Appendix hereto; . ,. civ j · Appendix, licensed premises." means any premises licensed for the sale of intoxicating liquors by retail under the provisions of the Sale of Into­ xicating Liquors Law. n wcip. 152. 3. All licensed premises situate in any town or improvement area shall' be closed every night at 11 p.m. and shall remain closed until sunrise the following day except during the months of June, July, August and September when they shall be closed every night at midnight and shall remain closed until sunrise the following day. 4. All licensed premises situate in any place other than a town or im­ provement area shall be closed every night at 9 p.m. and shall remain closed until sunrise the following day except during the months of June, July, August and September when they shall be closed every night at 10 p.m. and shall remain closed until sunrise the following day. 5. There shall be exempted from the provisions of clauses 3 and 4 of this Order all premises or places duly licensed for the sale of intoxicating liquors by retail— & (a) which are used and occupied exclusively by members of a club registered under the provisions of the Registration of Clubs Law CaD .,, and or any law amending or substituted for the same : Law 29 of Provided that such liquors are exclusively served to the i95i· members of such club or their guests;

(δ) which are licensed under the Hotels Law or any law amending Can ΊΟΑ or substituted for the same: S P' 4 Provided that such liquors are served exclusively to persons residing therein ; (c) in respect of which a special licence has been granted under the provisions of section 7 of the Sale of Intoxicating Liquors Law. Cap. 152 6. Notwithstanding anything in this Order contained, the Commissioner »Ώ,ίΐγ­­ ­ (a) on any occasion on which he may have reason to anticipate dis­ turbance or disorder, direct that all or any of the licensed premise* situate within the district shall be closed at such hour and that they shall remain closed for such period as to him may, in the interest of public peace or order, seem fit; 290 CAP. 152.] SALE OF INTOXICATING LIQUORS

(b) by permit under his hand, permit any licensed premises to which clauses 3 and^ 4 of this Order apply to remain open up to midnight, on any night or during such period as may be specified in the permit, upon payment of two shillings for every hour of extension ; (c) by special permit under his hand, extend the time during which any licensed premises to which clauses 3 and 4 of this Order apply may remain open after midnight on any special night for any special occasion, upon payment of two shillings for every hour of extension.
