TV V A L AM FM KNOT- HOLE GAN On the evening of May 7, more than 1250 youngsters -some of whom are pictured above -were in the stands at Lancaster's Stumpf Field for the- first "Knot Hole Gang" night. As guests of WGAL and WGAL -TV, they were watching the Lancaster Red Roses, of the Inter -State League, play ball. These youthful baseball fans are entitled to attend fifteen admission -free games during the 1952 season. The "Knot Hole Club" had its inception . on WGAL and. WGAL -TV a few weeks ago. Youngsters under fourteen were invited to join the club. After only two programs, over 1,000 had enrolled -and the membership list is now in excess of 10,000. The "Knot Hole Club" meets at WGAL and WGAL -TV every Saturday morning. Members A Steinman Station of the club participate in all programs. The stations' Clair R. McCollough, Pres. Sports Editors preside, and guests from the Inter -State League and elsewhere are on hand to answer the boys' baseball questions.
