01 Event: International Yoga Day Celebrations Date: 21-06-2016 No. of Students: 10 No. of Faculty: 01 Location: A1 Convention Centre

Objective Behind this observation is to make this ancient practice popular among the present generation of people who are unaware of its benefits. Adopting this practice is believed to provide significant relief from physical ailments and mental tension which plagues our day to day life.  International Yoga Day aims to develop the habit of meditation among youngsters so that they can enjoy more peace of mind and self-awareness, which is essential for a stress-free existence.  Yoga helps to keep the internal organs in the body to function properly by increasing the oxygen and blood flow. Proper oxygen and blood supply to all the vital organs helps to diminish the occurrence of major diseases related to the heart, lungs, kidneys and other vital organs.  World Yoga Day aims to educate people about the various means of overcoming stress naturally without resorting to any artificial medicine. Outcome People from different communities brought together through the practice of yoga, so that they can eliminate all types of negativity from their lives and gain control over their emotions as well as health ailments which often acts as the major hindrance in our path of self-development.  Yoga practitioners believe that when a person connects with Mother Nature with both his mind and soul, he achieves a greater level of consciousness which helps him to be at peace with his surroundings. This level of consciousness would invariably lead to world peace as more and more people starts practicing Yoga.  Practicing yoga would lead to stronger bonds between people from different background, irrespective of caste, religion or language barriers. It would help to promote the feeling of communal harmony and create a conjugal atmosphere for global peace.

People are able to have a correct opinion about this form of well-being, which is not only easy to practice but is also extremely effective on a long term basis.

Objective To create awareness and motivate people for Blood Donation. Starting from Colleges to help anyone, in case of any requirement for blood. To end the concept of replacement donation by ensuring continuous supply of blood through Voluntary Blood Donation blood banks. Objective Give instructions to the pilgrims and go to their rescue. Posted at the entry point of the ghats, changing rooms and in the river water To assist the senior citizens and physically challenged pilgrims besides keeping an eye on the movement of children at the ghats. Go to the rescue of the pilgrims who require some assistance. They also provide special tags for the children to ensure that they are not missed and restored to the parents if they missed. Outcomes Happy to serve the pilgrims during great auspicious and prestigious event Krishna Pushkaralu 2016 Wearing a special uniform also given by the city police commissioner Heart touching to know the meaning of life – it is too short so do good acts when it is possible.

Objective To improve quality of diabetes care, particularly in relation to maternal health during pregnancy, as well as diabetic foot care. In addition the project also aims to address prevention through health promotion at the workplaces, schools and in community settings.

Outcome Become a key driver in enhancing the lives of young people living with diabetes. Raise awareness of diabetes by being a powerful voice to improve education, access to quality care, quality of life, prevention of complications and type 2 diabetes, and to help end discrimination and stigma related to diabetes
