Bluefish Editor for Windows 8 Bluefish editor for windows 8 Continue Bluefish is a powerful editor focused on programmers and web developers, with plenty of options for writing websites, scripts and code programming. Bluefish supports many programming and markup languages. See the features for an extensive review, look at the screenshots, or download it right away. Bluefish is an open source development project that is licensed by GNU GPL. Bluefish is a multi-platform application that works on most desktop operating systems, including Linux, FreeBSD, MacOS-X, Windows, OpenBSD and Solaris. A good article on hostingadvice.com about Bluefish is a powerful open source code editor. Bluefish 2.2.11 Bluefish 2.2.11 release is a minor service release and minor feature release. The only exception is python 3 compatibility, which is a major change. If you compile Bluefish with python 3, you may experience new bugs. There are various minor changes as well. Improved dual-click selection (such as choosing the name of a feature that has an emphasis) and now adjusts to the language. Bluefish now has the function to fill the line with the gaps before the mouse click, so you can start typing in any position on the screen (fixed font width). Fixed a glitch when you run very large replacement actions on the disk on many files. Search and replace now ignores backup files by default. The cursor selection and line selection have been corrected for a rare error. A small new feature has been added to insert output from the external command into the current cursor position. Many language files have seen updates, most notably CSS, Python and HTML. The data loss error - when an unknown encoding was selected - has been corrected, the reverse version must now be saved as UTF-8. The save error with unknown characters in the file name has also been corrected. Printing has been improved, such as printing in the landscape. Some small UI settings have been implemented. For example, you can now search in files in the file-search (click on the directory on the right). Search results can now be shown in the output bar. The current identifier can be selected with the help of the zlt.shift. The latter there is a different fix when Bluefish is running on top of Wayland. NEWS - October 17 - A new package for OSX High Sierra released by Introduction OSX High Sierra has caused some incompatibility. A new package based on the current development code database is ready. It is available in . News - January 27 - Bluefish 2.2.10 released by Bluefish 2.2.10 is a maintenance release. Various language files have been improved, primarily languages that include CSS. also various fixes for new versions of gtk and for gtk on wayland (which is currently the default on Fedora Linux). The new feature in the 2.2.10 release is the ability to import/export the syntax of color styles, included styles for light and qlt; Subject. The latter has been corrected for several rare accidents. NEWS - June 16 - Bluefish 2.2.9 released by Bluefish 2.2.9 is the maintenance release that most importantly fixes incompatibility with Gtk 3.20. Next up, some small conversations have been improved, and some parts of the user interface have been polished. News - January 24 - Bluefish 2.2.8 released Bluefish 2.2.8 is a bugfix release with some small improvements and more polishing on existing features. It fixes some serious but rare errors. The parameters defined in the language definition files have now been translated. Various default settings have been improved, most notably the team to run Firefox for preview. The appearance of the new versions of gtk has been restored. NOW CSS can be compressed and unpacked. Installers for Windows and OSX have improvements, and there have been some OSX and Windows specific fixes. Character coding detection has been improved. News - Februari 1 - Bluefish 2.2.7 released by Bluefish 2.2.7 is basically a bug fix release. It captures a rare accident in auto-wrap, filebrowser, htmlbar plug-in preferences, in file-download-cancel, and captures a rare case of broken syntax highlighting after several search/replacement actions. In addition, when reviewing language files, you'll see a better error/warning conclusion. It also finally fixes JavaScript regex syntax stressing. Improved downloads of files with damaged encoded or unprintable symbols (such as binary files), improved project downloading on sftp. Various HTML5 tags have been added, and HTML5 is the default now for php, cfml and other languages that may include HTML syntax. The preservation and download of coded UTF-16 files has been broken and corrected. Different languages have better syntax support, such as javascript, css, html, pascal/deplhi, and HTML has improved auto-finish. On the OSX charmap plugin is finally enabled, the keys to switch tabs are no longer confict with some keyboard layouts, and the behavior at the stop has been improved. The download/download feature has a new option of ignoring backup files. House/end keys now work better on the tekst wrapped. And finally, finding and replacing correctly shows the number of results when searching for files on the disk. NEWS - April 21 - Bluefish 2.2.6 released Bluefish 2.2.6 is basically a bug fix release. This release captures fixes error (segfault) in filebrowser, which can be caused if the root catalog has been installed as a basir. It also has a fix for a specific CSS-in-HTML tag backlighting issue that broke HTML highlighting. In addition, the filter code caused this if the command did not exist. The Windows version finally keeps it open in the process. Many minor problems have been solved next to these errors. Development checks are now only included if Bluefish is made up of svn, not if it is made up of a tarball. Different language files have small improvements, most notably C, Javascript and CSS. Several translations have been updated. Fixed the corner case for a new document from a template that doesn't exist. Open submenu now opens SVG files from filebrowser instead of inserting an image tag. Included cssmin and jsbeatify have been updated. The syntax problem when replacing large snippets of text has been fixed, it reports the error link has been broken, a new conditional version of the language file, making reuse of some blocks of language files easier to add, and the reporting error in output has been improved. OSX file icons and open file dialogue size have been improved. News - February 10 - Bluefish 2.2.5 released by Bluefish 2.2.5 is a minor bug fix release, but also quite some new features. The syntax scanning engine is faster after small changes in the text. Filebrowser is also much faster with less memory use, with different fixes and new features. Projects now store active numbers of documents and active lines. The retreat improves in automatic completion and clever indentation. Bookmarks and special pastes were improved. At OSX there are many improvements such as support for Mavericks, Retina display support, working systems hotkeys, native input methods (Japanese, Chinese, etc.), opening files from can be found and widget bindings on MacOSX are moved to Cmd'C VH XA and works. In addition, almost all syntax selections have been improved, with the most notable jquery in javascript, HTML5 and HTML5 in PHP files. There are also many bug fixes, such as in wrap text on the right field, in replace engine, Jsmin license, feature separated lines, auto-recovery and many obscure errors. The latest bluefish now has an appdata file. News - February 12 - Bluefish 2.2.4 released Bluefish 2.2.4 is basically a minor bugfix release, but it carries a lot of small improvements. It has various fixes for tab width on gtk 3.6, blocksync function, scrollwheel-zoom, language syntax detection and character coding detection, comment switch, split view, better ui language detection on OSX and Windows, and a few more. Bluefish performance has been improved in several ways, most notably the pop-up speed New features include simpler search options, insert special (insert, such as images from Libreoffice), control tab to switch to on the last document, except for a copy, and pylint, cssmin, jsmin, csstidy and php_beautifier integration. Various language syntax files have also been improved. With this release, the minimum required version of gtk bumps into 2.20. News - June 28 - Bluefish 2.2.3 released Bluefish 2.2.3 has basically a lot of minor bugfixes and a lot of minor improvements. There are only a few major changes: the damaged state in the syntax scanner that can cause the segfault to be fixed, the code resets were major fixes and improvements, the search had major fixes, and a lorem ipsum generator was added. GUI has been restructured in some areas, and some combinations of key shortcuts have been added. Some visibility features have been added, such as a larger cursor and selection cursor, and some options have been improved, such as zoom and custom colors.
