PIN No: 577 528 Abstract: Jagalur Mohammed Imam is very close to the predecessors of independent India. He has served in state politics for over 30 years and in central politics for 5 years. People called him Immanna, Immanna by love. His grandparents, Fakir Saheb and his father, Badesabe, became members of the Democratic Party, doing public work in local bodies and becoming a populace. As the first municipal president of Jagalur, the Imam put much effort into providing civic amenities. He was the chairman of the Chitradurga District Board from 1936 to 1940. He was appointed as a private minister during the Mysore Maharaja's era and was the recipient of the ‘Mushir-ul-Mul’ Award by the Maharaja for his efficient handling of railway, irrigation, philanthropy, education, cooperation, police and industry. In 1957 he contested from the Chitradurga constituency and was a member of the Lok Sabha. Chitradurga, a backward district, has been admired by people for its many public works such as roads, bridges and drinking water wells. Introduction : After the pre-independent era of India and the post-independent politicians were simple-minded politician, chauffeur of the Karnataka Unification Movement, the leader of the four-party opposition in the Mysore government, Jagalur Mohammed Imam, a pioneer of efficiency and honesty and social concern.

ANSWER पेट्रोलियम एवं प्राकृ तिक गैस मंत्री (श्री धमेन्द्र प्रधान) MINISTER OF PETROLEUM AND NATURAL GAS (SHRI DHARMENDRA PRADHAN) (a) Expansion of Retail Outlets (ROs) and LPG distributorships network by Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) in the country is a continuous process. ROs and LPG distributorships are set up by OMCs at identified locations based on field survey and feasibility studies. Locations found to be having sufficient potential as well as economically viable are rostered in the Marketing Plans for setting up ROs and LPG distributorships. (b) OMCs have commissioned 342 ROs (IOCL:143, BPCL:89 & HPCL:110) in Karnataka and Hyderabad during the last three years and current year. State/District/Location-wise number of ROs where Letter of Intents have been issued by OMCs in the State of Karnataka and Hyderabad as on 01.07.2018 is given in Annexure-I. Details of locations advertised by OMCs for LPG distributorship in the state of Karnataka is given in Annexure-II.

The Manning School of Business in collaboration with BVB College of Engineering and Technology (http://www.bvb.edu/ Hubli, India) conducted a Study Abroad Program from 5th January to 16th January 2014. Nine (9) students from UML joined 30 students from BVB College in an eleven-day experience in Entrepreneurship learning and multi-cultural, multi-disciplinary activities Where? Hubli is one of the major cities of South India and it is often referred to as the twin city of Dharwad, the administrative capital of the Dharwad district of Karnataka. Hubli is the commercial hub of Northern Karnataka and also a developing industrial, automobile and educational hub of the state, after Bangalore. The host college, BVB College of Engineering and Technology is a 5000-student higher education institute offering education in 11 different engineering and management disciplines. Nitin Kulkarni, BVB College faculty, who co-taught with the UML faculty. Participants? There were 9 students from UML participated in this program: 4 MBA, 2 undergrad business school, one graduate nursing school and 2 undergrad nursing school students. From the host college, 30 students joined UML students, representing 9 engineering disciplines: 5-Robotics; 4 Civil; 3 Industrial; 6 Comp Science; 9 mechanical 3 others. It was a very interesting and beneficial mix of students! All 39 students stayed at the Scholar’s House on campus, a facility with comfortable accommodations and amenities. Students had their meals served at the House, enjoying typical Indian dishes for breakfast and lunch.

    STATE EDUCATIONAL PROFILE As of March 2013, Karnataka had 60036 elementary schools with 313008 teachers and 8.39 million students, and 14195 secondary schools with 114350 teachers and 2.09 million students. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karnataka - cite_note-school-99 There are three kinds of schools in the state, viz., government-run, private aided (financial aid is provided by the government) and private unaided (no financial aid is provided). The primary languages of instruction in most schools are Kannada apart from English, Urdu and Other languages. The syllabus taught in the schools is by and large the state syllabus (SSLC) defined by the Department of Public Instruction of the Government of Karnataka, and the CBSE, ICSE in case of certain private unaided and KV schools. In order to provide supplementary nutrition and maximize attendance in schools, the Karnataka Government has launched a mid-day meal scheme in government and aided schools in which free lunch is provided to the students. A pair of uniforms and all text books is given to children; free bicycles are given to 8th standard children. Statewide board examinations are conducted at the end of the period of X standard and students who qualify are allowed to pursue a two-year pre-university course; after which students become eligible to pursue under-graduate degrees. There are two separate Boards of Examination for class X and class XII. There are 652 degree colleges (March 2011) affiliated with one of the universities in the state, viz. Bangalore University, Gulbarga University, Karnataka University, Kuvempu University, Mangalore University and University of Mysore .
