This true story begins with an honest prayer to the Indian god, Ganesh and what follows is something unimaginable and life-altering…Working class Indian couple, Krishna and Jayamma prayed to the Indian god, Ganesh for a baby. When their prayers were eventually answered, Jayamma gave birth to a baby boy, unexplainably resembling the elephant-headed god, Ganesh. After years of searching for medical help, an accidental meeting led to national media attention about the boy’s story. The result drew the interest of India’s rich and powerful, along with a Canadian plastic surgeon, who would change their lives forever.

“As a multicultural nation it is important that inspirational stories, originating from different cultures, such as Ganehs’s are told,” commented Madeline Ziniak, National Vice President, OMNI Television. “OMNI Television is pleased to have funded this unique story of faith, love and turmoil and acceptance.

What began as a miracle, quickly led to destruction as Ganesh’s surgery created an even larger problem for the family, one that led to fear, attempted suicide and changed the lives of Krishna and Jayamma forever.

Join OMNI Television for this brutally honest and touching family portrait.
