Community Resource See page four for the full story. Database 2 the citizen | march 2009 MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIR Lois Hollstedt, C.M. he 2009-2010 budget allocation for CLBC was announced on Budget day and we are Tvery pleased to have increased funding available in the next year to support the needs of adults with developmental disabilities. As the economy is challenging government revenues, this focus on people services is very welcome and gratifying to see. This view is shared by the BC Association for Community Living. Rory Summers, BCACL President, said, “This government has shown true leadership by listening to the community and responding to the needs of children and youth with special needs, adults with developmental disabilities and their families. The new funding will make a huge impact on the lives of those waiting for services.” The Province has increased Community Living BC’s 2009/10 budget by $52 million. This $52-million increase in government contributions is the largest increase since CLBC’s first full year of operations. Almost $40 million of this increase will provide new and expanded adults services for people meeting existing eligibility criteria. An additional $2.6 million will support the initiative to improve eligibility criteria for CLBC services.

LÄRANDE OCH SAMHÄLLE Examensarbete i Idrottsvetenskap 15 högskolepoäng, grundnivå Expertskattens tillämpning i ishockeysverige En studie om hur expertskatten förändrade ishockeyn i Sverige The application of the expert tax in Sweden Christoffer Malm Daniel Johansson Idrottsvetenskap – Sport Management 180hp Examinator: Handledare:Torbjörn Andersson Ange handledare 2018-05-22 Handledare: Lars Lagergren ABSTRACT Aim The aim with this study is to firstly describe what types of taxes and benefits there are that import players can take advantage of when coming to Sweden to play ice hockey. Furthermore, the study is also aiming to clarify the effects that the application of expert tax has on the ice hockey in Sweden. The questions that we are going to answer are: What tax benefits allows within the Inkomstskattelagen (IL) for import players and to what extension have the Swedish ice hockey clubs been able to benefit from the expert tax when it comes to contract import players to Sweden? What advantages and disadvantages has the application of tax reductions of import players in Sweden resulted in for the Swedish ice hockey organizations? Method We have used two different types of methods for this study. First of all, we used a qualitative method when it came to interviews and the empirical study of previously written studies and books that were relevant for this study. The second method is the method of law that we have used when it comes to studying and understanding the many layers of the different laws. We have also included a few legal cases that we find highly interesting for the outcome of this study.
