POST-GAME NOTES & QUOTES

Los Angeles Kings (5-10-1) vs. (10-6-1) – Nov. 10, 2018

Kings 0-0-0=0 Flames 1-0-0=0

KINGS HEAD COACH WILLIE DESJARDINS: (RE: TEAMS EFFORT): “The start of the game I thought they started pretty hard. I thought we played pretty good ten minutes into the first, not a great second. I didn’t think anyone gave up. I thought the guys played hard throughout the game and you know It all comes down if we get one on the power play then we are back in it. That’s an area we are going to have to look at making adjustments on and we haven’t touched on it yet. Now is the time to.

KINGS FORWARD ALEX IAFALLO: (RE: GENERATING OFFENSE): “It’s tough you know after a loss like that I feel like we just got to work harder. We aren’t working hard enough. We gotta play as a team too and obviously we haven’t been creating a lot of offense. We are getting some shots but not shots that we want, you know. So, we need to get that passion back and hunger to get to the soft areas to keep making plays. We kind of got away from making cycle plays to where we got momentum, every shift you know rolling into every shift. You know that goes a long way and that rolls into periods and games. We gotta pick it up here.”

KINGS FORWARD TYLER TOFFOLI: (RE: PUCK POSSESION): “We definitely had our opportunities, they are a good hockey team. They had some chances and obviously they scored on the line but obviously we are going to come back and try to get better when we come back to the rink.”

FLAMES HEAD COACH BILL PETERS: (RE: TONIGHT’S PERFORMANCE): "Good victory, obviously. We had contributions throughout and it's good for David Rittich to get his first career shutout."

FLAMES DEFENSEMAN : (RE: TEAM’S PERFORMANCE): "I think that we came out and had a good first. We got the goal and it was a good job by Hath [Garnet Hathaway], the goalie didn't see anything. That maybe gets overlooked but Hath took his eyes right away and I think that as the game went on, they had their pushes in the second [period] and a bit in the third [period] but we held strong and pushed back too. It was a pretty good win by our team."

FLAMES DAVID RITTICH: (RE: FIRST CAREER SHUTOUT): "It's a great milestone in my career. Hopefully it's the first of many."

KINGS NOTES:

• Jack Campbell stopped 35-of-36 shots in the loss. • Drew Doughty played a game-high 27:44 TOI.
