After dashing the idols of Hindu Gods and Goddesses to smithereens, they further vandalized the portraits of thought leaders and national figures like Rabindranath Tagore, Syama Prasad Mukherjee, Subhas Chandra Bose and others. The attackers shouted pro-Mamata Banerjee slogans and threatened the ABVP activists and office-bearers with similar assaults in the times to come. They said that Mamata Banerjee’s defeat in Nandigram had made the TMC cadres very resentful of those responsible for her loss and that such ‘traitors’ would not be allowed to live in Bengal for long.

According to the Indian Ports Association, JNPT cargo volume dropped 12 percent during April-December to 44.74 million metric tons (MMT), compared to 50.86 MMT during the same period last year. Mumbai Port Trust cargo volume dropped 18 percent during April-December to 38.03 million tons, compared to 46.2 MMT during the same period last year. Overall, trade volumes for India’s top 12 state-run ports fell nine percent during April- December to nearly 523.84 MMT, compared to 477.76 MMT during the same period last year. 2. Mundra: According to local reports, Mundra Port handled 15.24 MMT in December 2020, an increase of 44 percent compared to the same period last year. 3. Tuticorin: V.O.
