LEAVE OF ABSENCE GRANTED The following member was granted leave of absence for today because of important business: Mirquez on motion of N. Gonzalez. COMMITTEE GRANTED PERMISSION TO MEET Representative Alvarado requested permission for the Select Committee on Transparency in State Agency Operations to meet while the house is in session, at 1:30 p.m. today, in 1W.14, to consider the committee's expanded jurisdiction. Permission to meet was granted. COMMITTEE MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT The following committee meeting was announced: Select Committee on Transparency in State Agency Operations, 1:30 p.m. today, 1W.14, for a formal meeting, to consider the committee's expanded jurisdiction. HR 231 - ADOPTED (by Branch) Representative Branch moved to suspend all necessary rules to take up and consider at this time HR 231. The motion prevailed. The following resolution was laid before the house: HR 231, Congratulating the TracyLocke advertising agency of Dallas on its 100th anniversary. HR 231 was adopted. On motion of Representative Branch, the names of all the members of the house were added to HR 231 as signers thereof. HR 125-ADOPTED (by Pitts) Representative Pitts moved to suspend all necessary rules to take up and consider at this time HR 125. The motion prevailed. The following resolution was laid before the house: Tuesday, June 25, 2013 HOUSE JOURNAL - 6th Day (cont' d) 1247 HR 125, Commending the Honorable Craig Eiland for his service in the Texas House of Representatives. HR 125 was read and was adopted. On motion of Representative Paddie, the names of all the members of the house were added to HR 125 as signers thereof.
