Tool Box Classes Tool Box classes are designed to give you the technical tools you need to complete your projects with confidence. Continental Knitting (Picking) for Throwers (knit) with Jane Continental Knitting, also known as Picking, is one of the two most popular methods of knitting in the US. You hold the yarn in your left hand and manipulate the yarn with your index finger. If you are a thrower (English style knitter), learning how to hold the yarn in your left hand is handy for doing two-color stranded knitting. It's a great skill to put in your tool box or to learn if you're planning on joining our Strathendrick KAL.

Wednesday Level 2+ May 30 Yarn: smooth, light-colored worsted 6-7pm weight Class Fee: $10.00 Needles: US 8/5mm 24” circular

English Knitting (Throwing) for Pickers (knit) with Elizabeth English Knitting, also known as Throwing, may seem like the ugly step-sister of the two main knitting styles, particularly since Continental Knitting (Picking) is thought to be faster. I bet the faster knitter in the world, Hazel Tindall, would disagree! But even if you knit with the yarn in your left hand, learning how to hold the yarn in your right hand is handy for doing two-color stranded knitting. It's a great skill to put in your tool box or to learn if you're planning on joining our Strathendrick KAL.

Thursday Level 2+ May 24 Yarn: smooth, light-colored worsted weight 6-7pm Needles: US 8/5mm 24” circular Class Fee: $10.00
