2.0 ,1 ETHOD . REA exercise wqs conducted using the WHO recommended Ropid Epidemiologicol Mapping of Onchocerciosis (REMO) procedure of Ngor^o, & wqlsh (1993) ond w{o (1998) except thot the topogrophicol mops wete not complete for the Region, ond os such other ovoilqble moPs we?e used. Agoin, becouse of the settlement pottern in the forested region ond working with RAPLOA teom qt the some time, house to house selection of eligible villogers were odopted in most coses. At the District office, some of the District Heqlth Officers substituted the selected villoges for REA/RAPLOA with new ones. a The WHO opproved guideline for Ropid Assessment of Loa Loa (RAPLOA) (wHo, loot: ?oo?) ond wonji et ol (2005) were completely odopted for the RAPLOA exercise, except ogoin, thot the complete topogrophicol mops werenot ovoilqble, ond os such other moPs were used.
