DEMOCRAT SOCIALISTS OF AMERICA (1982) (America's largest Socialist Party) (DSA) - Founded in 1973, it was formerly the Socialist Party of America (SPA), which was also renamed Social Democrats, USA a year prior. Their ideology consists of , Eco-socialism, Socialist feminism, Anti-capitalism, Anti-imperialism, Anti-, Anti-fascism, pro-LGBT rights, opposed to Zionism, and are left-wing. It claims over 50,000 members as of 2019.

REFORM PARTY USA (1995) (Reform Party of the United States of America) (RPUSA) - Founded in 1995 by . It is an independent Conservative Party on non-social issues.

LEGAL MARIJUANA NOW PARTY (1998) (Opposes drug ) - Established in 1998. Party shares values of Farmer-Labor Party. It has turned into a social democratic party that is anti-war, pro-labor, and supports rights of all minorities.

SOCIAL WORKERS PARTY (1938) (Communist Party in the United States) (SWP) - Founded in January, 1938. It was formerly called 'Communist League of America'. It originally supported Leon Trotsky and Leader Joseph Stalin.

PROHIBITION PARTY (1869) (PRO) - Founded in in 1869, it is known best for its historic opposition to the sale or consumption of alcoholic beverages. It is the oldest third party in the U.S. It supports environmental stewardship, free education, but is conservative on social issues.

WORKERS WORLD PARTY (1959) (WWP) - Founded in 1959. It was formed by a group of the Socialist Workers Party, who's ideology is also Communism, it is known for its consistent defense of the Black Panthers, the , the Vietnam Veterans against the War, and the Puerto Rico independence movement. Part of it split off in 2018 to form the Communist Workers League.

AMERICAN SOLIDARITY PARTY (2011) (ASP) - Founded in 2011, and incorporated in 2016 ASP is a minor third party with no elected officials. Those who join profess the sanctity of human life, necessity of social justice, responsibility for the environment, and the possibly of a peaceful world.

SOCIALIST EQUALITY PARTY (1966) (SEP) - Founded in 1995 by the Workers League, the US supporters of the International Committee of the Fourth International. SEP is said to not reform capitalism, but to create a socialist, democratic and revolutionary transformation of the world economy, i.e., for the equal rational and democratic utilization of wealth worldwide.

NOTE: There are some 45+ other minor third political parties, 95+ political parties that have ceased to exist or merged with others, and some 20 non-electoral organizations. In America, we call that 'Political Freedom.' Many of these political parties are State parties that have been started by independent candidates in local or regional area in order to launch a specific idea or political campaign topic(s).

Some of these parties specifically listed above are those that had been on some State or local ballots, or had received some votes in recent modern day elections.
