He is honored to be making his orchestral debut with the Samford Trumpet Lydia Moore Orchestra. Bradyn grew up dancing and performing musical theatre in Cottage Grove, Liam Datka Anna Rose Honea Oregon but discovered his passion for classical music while studying with Dr. Kristin Hannah Miller Liliana Hatch Kenning at Samford. He was most recently seen as John Adams in Samford’s Ryan Lovell Emma Bell production of 1776 and has performed locally with Red Mountain Theatre Company. Asher Entrekin Bradyn is a recipient of the University Fellows Scholarship and Alabama Power Summer Caitlin Pippins Research Fellowship and has won several local awards including placing first in the 2019 and 2020 Alabama NATS competitions and winning 2nd at the 2020 Birmingham Music Trombone Club Guild Scholarship Competition. He has also published poetry in the English department’s journal Wide Angle, has participated in an Oxford Latin immersion Andrew Bass program at the Accademia Vivarium Novum in Italy, and has presented his classics Landon Bass research at the Classical Association of the Middle West and South’s annual meetings. Grace Rogers In the fall, he plans to pursue the master of music in voice and opera at the Bienen School of Music at Northwestern University in the studio of W. Stephen Smith. He is eternally grateful to his family, friends, and teachers for affording him every opportunity and support during his time at Samford. Soli Deo Gloria. .
